Shirley planned to participate in the roundtable tonight for the gina & krista round-robin. She's had something come up and wants me to pass something on. I'll mention it in the roundtable but I'm also putting it up here.
Every year, Martha and Shirley do a survey to figure out the books that spoke to the community.
Hilda wrote about a book on Tuesday in HILDA'S MIX from a few years back and people are lamenting that they can't vote for it because it was published in the 70s.
There is no such rule that the book had to be released that year. If a book speaks to you during the calendar year, it doesn't matter what year it was published, you can vote for it.
It may or may not make the top ten but you can vote for it. It's still January so you've got heads up and then some.
"2017 in Books (Martha & Shirley)" is Martha and Shirley's most recent community survey and they have also done the year in books for 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005.
