On Tuesday, April 6, as part of Wagner College’s celebration of Women’s History Month 2021, our Center for Intercultural Advancement held an online panel discussion, “Feminism: A Conversation,” addressing this vital question: “How do people understand feminism in 2021?” Our four panelists represented a wide cross-section of Wagner College. They opened their dialogue by presenting some of their views on how they understand the term “feminism” and how they see others as understanding it. After opening their dialogue to the Wagner College community, they discussed feminist terminology, contemporary attitudes toward feminism and historical trends within it. Organizers hoped that participants would get a glimpse of some nuanced understandings of feminism and possibly question some of their own assumptions about it. Panelists were: • Bernadette Ludwig, Associate Professor/Chair, Wagner College Sociology Department • Cyril Ghosh, Associate Professor/Chair, Wagner College Government & Politics Department • Nicole Ntumba, Area Coordinator, Wagner College Office of Residential Education • Sidiq Soulemana, Assistant Director, Wagner College Center for Intercultural Advancement
