Gina Arias is a Registered Nurse and public health professional who participated in the NYC Department of Health COVID-19 vaccination roll out efforts in the spring. She currently works for TIME’S UP as the Director of Healthcare. Dr. Obi Nnedu is an infectious diseases physician with 11 years of experience practicing in New Orleans. He serves as the program director of the infectious diseases training program at Ochsner Medical Center. He attended medical school at the University of Alabama. Completed his residency training at Tulane University in New Orleans and specialized in infectious diseases at the University of Washington in Seattle. Joaquin Morante was raised in New York City. In his youth, he developed an interest in community organizing and empowerment. He completed his medical education at the Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina in Havana, Cuba. Dr. Morante completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health in Brooklyn, NY. He subsequently completed his training in Pulmonary Disease at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Critical Care Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. Joaquin works at Jacobi Medical Center and is an assistant professor of medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Jonel Daphnis is an Emergency Medicine Physician that has been practicing medicine since 2007. He is a Diasporic African of Haitian descent but currently resides in New Orleans with his wife Dr. Emily Nichols and their daughter Zumbi. He received his Bachelor in Science in Development Sociology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in 1998, his Master of Public Health from the Division of Population and Family Health of Joseph L. Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University in New York City, New York in 2000 and his Doctor of Medicine from State University of New York School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York, in 2007. He completed his Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine Combined Residency at the Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, in 2012. ___________________________________ Jared A.
