Beyond learning concrete media and storytelling skills, Telling Our Stories is also about providing youth with a supportive community where they can share what they’re experiencing in these unstable and uncertain times. Young people need more spaces where they feel supported, connected, and valued, perhaps now more than ever. It is so crucial to reaffirm for frontline youth that they belong, and that there is a learning community for them that is based on care for each other and for this earth. Their voices and their efforts are what shape the new world that we are all striving towards. We really believe that this program can make a significant impact in the lives of the frontline youth that we work with.
