Ruth: 2025 was supposedly all about the podcast.
Reminds me of that episode of AMERICAN DAD where Roger becomes obsessed with Meredith, a woman who's a dentist wife. Roger discusses it with Francine.
Roger: Who is that?
Francine: Her? That's Meredith Fields. She's the most interesting and fabulous woman in Langley Falls.
Roger: She can't be all that if I, Samantha Kingsbury, never heard of her. Meredith's pretty amazing. She runs the best book club in town. Bookshelves
Roger Book club. I pretend skied in Switzerland.
Francine: And she runs a charity to raise... Awareness.
Roger: Charities. It's all about podcasts these days.
Francine: She's even got time for the homeless.
Roger: Time? I hɑvе sеx with the homeless!
Francine: Roger, she's married to a dentist.
That is from the episode "The Dentist's Wife" which first aired April 18, 2015. "It's all about podcasts." Stated over a decade ago.
I watch on YOUTUBE. Programs like MEIDASTOUCH NEWS, TABITHA SPEAKS, that sort of thing. People who cover news that I wish to follow and cover it in a unique manner.
And I think YOUTUBE is large and diverse enough that we can all find programs that serve us.
However, far too often, we end up with programs that do not feed us. Programs b leftist hucksters who, off air, are making deals and bargains with other podcasters about what to cover and how to cover it. Nothing turns me off more than learning supposed intendent journalists made a serious effort to trick me, to pull one over on me, so that they could try to control my vote.
That will not happen. That will never happen. A warning will go off in my head and instruct me to stop listening to this or that host. And I do not go back to people who try to trick me.
These charlatans did real harm in 2024 -- especially with regards to our election. We need to be on guard so that the tricks and lies of, for instance, Amy Goodman never full us again. Convicted Felon Donald Chump and Vice President Kamala Harris were not the same no matter what the various Socialists coming on DEMOCRACY NOW! Remember that these charlatans already lied to us once. They do not do that and suddenly decide to be honest. They just lie and wait for the moment where they think they can trick us again. We cannot afford them. In 2024, we should have known that. In 2025, we all learned the hart way that, no, Ms. Harris was not the same as The Orange Satan. If we survive Mr. Chump's next three years, we must ensure that the liars are shut down immediately in real time.
Because it is not all about podcasts, it is all about truth and we need to applaud and support truth wherever we find it.
