I Hate The War

It's over, I'm done writing songs about love
There's a war going on
So I'm holding my gun with a strap and a glove
And I'm writing a song about war
And it goes
Na na na na na na na
I hate the war
Na na na na na na na
I hate the war
Na na na na na na na
I hate the war
Oh oh oh oh
-- "I Hate The War" (written by Greg Goldberg, on The Ballet's Mattachine!)

Last Thursday, ICCC's number of US troops killed in Iraq since the start of the illegal war was 4229. Tonight? 4236. Just Foreign Policy lists 1, 307,319 as the number of Iraqis killed since the start of the illegal war the same number they listed last week. and the same number they listed the week before and before that. Iraqi deaths only matter when a Republican is in the White House.

Are you not getting it? How many times do they have to whore themselves out before you grasp that there is no 'independent' journalism, just a bunch of trashy street whores hustling for a buck. They'll go down on Barack. They'll have a half-and-half. They'll snowball. They'll practice scat. They have no ethics and, if the price is right, they'll do whatever freaky fantasy you desire.

How many times did Amy Goodman take that sad sack puss over to the cameras of Real Media and insist that it wasn't about Republicans and Democrats, it was about the illegal war and the truth?

Now, of course, we know it was about party politics. They are more than happy to spread for Barack. They are more than happy to whore for him. If he wants to piss on them, their only question is, "In our mouths or on our faces?" And when he says both, you should see them smile.

When 2012 rolls around and the Iraq War is still ongoing, they're going to think of excuses and also work on the step-away. The truth is, the bulk of them are closet Communists with last century's thinking. Meaning, not only are they dishonest (refusing to admit their political affiliation), they're also highly attracted to male authoritarian figures. In fact, "highly attracted" is an understatement.

They will never be happy until they have someone to worship.

Because for all the bulls**t they offer on a daily basis about "people have the power!" -- reality, they don't believe it.

They're not trying to empower a single person. They're making excuses for Barack, they're ignoring what he's done and what he's doing.

Barack's the Corporatist War Hawk. Valentines aren't going to 'awaken' him. A real left movement might. A real left movement no sooner kisses Barack's ass than they bow to a king. A real left movement doesn't worship a Daddy surogate. (Or a Mommy but there's not much chance of the latter ever happening in this sexist country.)

Until you have a left movement that doesn't feel the need to shower the 'almighty prez' with praise or kiss his ass twice before meekly demanding that the Constitution be followed, until you have a left movement that conducts itself like citizens in a democracy, nothing's going to change.

And you better believe Barack was supported by Big Business with that latter hope in mind.

Now England is not the land of all things wonderful. It's easy to look there from the US and think that. They have their own problems. But they also have John Pilger and that puts them way, way ahead of the US. We have no truth teller of that stature in the US.

We have whores and beggars engaged in a circle jerk which they hope puts them on the foundation payroll or maybe CREDO will decide to give them a donation! Vote for us now at CREDO! We need money! We're only in it for the money!

That is reality. The idea that the left needs millions to run is garbage. Pacifica gets millions each year and wastes it and can never account for it or pass an audit. The reality is that a movement can be run on a shoe string.

The Blood Money that 'infused' the left should have been stopped a long time ago. I'm thinking of one little Piggie who regularly denies that he knew he was taking the Blood Money and seems to think no one's ever going to find out he's taking it again, he's taken it for all of 2008.

Why is it that Panhandle Media doesn't think you have a right to know who is funding them?

They should disclose their funding loudly and clearly. It should be on each website taking foundation money. But they don't do that. The same ones who whine about the tobacco industry paying for this or that. But that's Real Media. Disclosures only matter with Real Media, in their minds. The bulk of them are just cheap, little whores who work in Panhandle Media because no one in Real Media would hire them. That's why Amy Goodman's still with Pacifica -- that and all the money she siphons off for her bad radio program with cameras. NPR doesn't want a damn thing to do with her. She may be all smiles on air, but that filthy, loud mouth is not friendly to work with and NPR decided after one of her screaming tantrums in the 90s that they and Goodman could drive down different paths.

Goodman can't work at NPR. Goodman can't work in Real Media. She's far from alone. It's not because they're 'independent,' it's because they have no ethics. For all their lectures of Real Media, they have no ethics. First clue, Amy Goodman was charging $1,000 a pop for tickets to a Barack ball. Want to pretend that's ethical? Want to pretend that doesn't influence coverage?
