Mass protest in Iraq by supporters of Muqtada al-Sadr opposing Iraq being used as a base/battlefield for a US war against Iran The US has destabilised Iraq for decades now, after the defeat of ISIS and jihadist groups, why can't the US allow Iraq to have stability?
When the Democratic debates start, will this register in them? Iraq, a country still occupied by US troops, may end up a staging area for war on Iran. Isn't that something that Kamala, Tulsi, Joe, Bernie, Elizabeth, Cory, Marianne, Beto, et al should have to weigh in on?
More war and more destruction?
Joe Biden voted for war on Iraq. He insists he's not sorry about anything he's done. This week saw him change his position on the Hyde Amendment -- after being for it started harming his poll numbers. CNN notes that US House Rep Seth Moulton, also seeking the Democratic Party's presidential nomination, has commented on Joe's reversal:
"Bravo to @JoeBiden for doing the right thing and reversing his longstanding support for the Hyde Amendment," Moulton tweeted Friday. "It takes courage to admit when you're wrong, especially when those decisions affect millions of people. Now do the Iraq War."
The Iraq War continues. As does corruption in Iraq. A trending topic on Twitter? #improveiraqinetwork:
