The White House lost Ammar but has Ammar won a new post?

Possible major news out of Iraq:

  • Al-Rasheed has just reported that the National Alliance (Shia bloc) has chosen Ammar al-Hakim as its new leader to replace Jafari.

  • If true, this would be among the biggest news in Iraq.

Ammar al-Hakim is the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq and, as Arabic social media is noting, he's currently in Iran currying favor.

While al-Hakim remains tight with Iran, he's drifted from the United States.

He's taken to slamming the US and its involvement in Iraq in the last 11 months.

    He's done so publicly.

And the US government has made very little effort to address that.

    We warned about it here.

But apparently the administration knows better and they can blow off and dismiss al-Hakim.

Wonder if they'll feel the same if Ammar becomes the new head of the National Alliance?

And I wonder how The Cult of St. Barack will rush to blame this on Bully Boy Bush?

  • Plus Marcia's "Hillary: Queen of Non-Transparency" which is not showing up yet.
