US House Rep Susan Davis' office issued the following earlier this week:
Congresswoman Susan Davis: Dismissal of Pride Flag Lawsuit “a Good Day for Justice and Equality”
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Susan Davis (CA-53)
released the following statement on the appellate court’s dismissal of a
lawsuit filed against her for displaying a Pride Flag outside her
congressional offices. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of
Columbia Circuit dismissed the suit after the plaintiff failed to
provide the required documents to show why the case should not be
dismissed.
“This is a good day for justice and equality. The lower court recognized the lack of merit to this lawsuit and I was always confident that the appellate courts would see it the same way. Marriage equality is the law of the land and should always remain that way. The final dismissal of this lawsuit is a victory for freedom and equality.”
