Every Dem president of the modern era faced tough — and at times vicious — criticism during primaries (see Clinton’s ad attacking Obama). This process made the eventual Dem nominee stronger. So stop trying to suppress the criticism with demands for “unity”
Efforts to try to shame Dems out of “attacking” each other are efforts to suppress the democratic process. That process involves candidates making arguments that contrast with other candidates. Demands for “unity” & no debate are demands to shut down the democratic process (1/2)
