The New York Times did what the New York Times does so well: distort, smear and belittle an anti-war politician who speaks truth to power. In this case, it was through their obituary of Mike Gravel, the late Alaska senator and two-time presidential candidate, who died on Saturday at 91. Gravel entered the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional Record and was "disrespected" by the very paper that published the documents he helped expose. Gravel's daughter Lynne Mosier calls out the paper of record and hopes they will do the right thing and correct the record.
