During a visit to George Mason University Kamala Harris was asked about the U.S. support for Israel by a student who said Israel was committing ethnic genocide. Somewhat shockingly, Harris said the student was "speaking [her] truth." This made some people's heads explode. For journalist Max Blumenthal it reveals how much popular support for Palestinians has become among young people and how out of step Democratic leadership is with their own constituents. Max also points out how the Israel lobby is comprised of Christian Zionists as well as Jewish ones and how it's AIPAC which represents political Zionism as a part of Jewish life in order to portray criticism of Zionism as antisemitic.
