Today, the Iraqi Parliament met for the first time. Mohamed al-Halbousi was re-elected Speaker of Parliament.

And the press doesn't seem to know reality. I'll take it up in the snapshot tomorrow if they're still playing dumb. Certain events are not surprising. And I'm not really feeling it for you if you are paid to cover Iraq and you're surprised and unaware of history. There's a specific Court case in Iraq that should be applied for example. But too many idiots are paid to cover Iraq without really covering it.
I'm also bothered by the fact that the events are being misrepresented.
What took place was exactly what was supposed to take place. It was predetermined. It was a method to sort-of meet the Constitutional requirements.
I'm just not in the mood. Recovering from COVID and still have to type up a transcript for THIRD, I'm just not in the mood right now to do the work that so-called professionals should have already done -- the work that they are paid to do.
