What Ray Curry will say during the debate is already clear from the vice-presidential candidates’ forum. In watching the Solidarity House candidates speak, I was shocked by the level of dishonesty and outright lies. Most outrageous was the claim by current UAW VP Chuck Browning and the other Solidarity House VP candidates that tiers have been eliminated thanks to the UAW apparatus! Curry and Co. think that by declaring that tiers don’t exist, workers will believe it. Their PR strategy amounts to the phrase of Groucho Marx: “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?” I have replied in detail to the claims the UAW bureaucracy eliminated tiers in a statement last night. Here’s what I am urging you to do now: 1. Make sure that all your coworkers know about the debate. In speaking with rank-and-file workers, my supporters have reported that many don’t even know the debate is happening. This is because the UAW apparatus doesn’t want you to watch it. Therefore, do everything you can to alert all your coworkers and friends. Talk about it at your plants and workplaces today and tomorrow.
