Today
I was on national television talking about St Patrick's Day and the
discriminatory history Irish Americans faced - 'Irish Need Not Apply'
& the 'Day of the Rope' when twenty Irish miners were hanged for
allegedly being Molly Maguires.
Today,
it's young trans Americans who are facing historic discrimination and
it's making an impact: A study by the Trevor Project last year found
that, in America, 50% of transgender young Americans contemplated taking
their own life via suicide.
