Who’s Coming to Bioneers 2024

Every year, Bioneers brings legendary and emerging leaders to the conference stage. Here are just a few of the groundbreaking keynote speakers you’ll meet at Bioneers 2024. Stay tuned for further announcements.

Casey Camp-Horinek

A revered tribal Councilwoman of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma, Casey Camp-Horinek’s wisdom is as deep as her commitment to native and human rights, environmental justice, and preserving our interconnected world. Casey is an Emmy award winning actress, author, and an internationally renowned, longtime Native and Human Rights and Environmental Justice activist. She led efforts for the Ponca tribe to adopt a Rights of Nature Statute and pass a moratorium on fracking on its territory, and has frequently spoken around the world.

Merlin Sheldrake

The Bioneers audience will be enchanted by Merlin Sheldrake, a brilliant biologist and writer. Author of the best-selling book Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds, and Shape Our Futures, Merlin's pioneering work on underground fungal networks in Panama's tropical forests has earned him acclaim. His expertise spans fungal biology, Amazonian ethnobotany, and the interplay of sound and form in resonant systems. Join us at Bioneers 2024 to explore the wonders of the natural world through Merlin's unique lens.

Dolores Clara Fernandez Huerta

It is an enormous honor to host Dolores Huerta at Bioneers 2024. Dolores is a trailblazing leader of the Chicano civil rights movement and co-founder of the United Farm Workers Association. Born in 1930, Huerta's lifelong dedication to social justice and workers' rights began in her early years, shaped by her mother's activism and her own encounters with discrimination. Despite facing ethnic and gender biases, Huerta became a fierce advocate for farm workers, organizing strikes, negotiating contracts, and fighting for safer working conditions. Her impactful efforts led to groundbreaking legislation and improved representation for workers. A recipient of prestigious awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Huerta's legacy as a tireless activist and advocate for change continues to shape our world.
