Any mention of Shia victimization is taboo; it is unprogressive, Islamophobic, and it is "disempowering" to Sunnis.

I somehow continue to be stunned by the level of ignorance major media outlets espouse and spread about Syria.

The majority of Syria is Sunni. Very few are Shia. Sunnis are well represented in the regime & are crucial to Assad's base of support.
  • CNN report falsely claims supporters of Syrian govt are "predominantly Shia" and that today's attack was "a hiccup"
  • This is the Syrian viewpoint that gets no airtime
  • It does matter when they are being hunted and killed for their identity across the region.

4 months ago "rebels" burned evacuation buses meant for Foua/Kafraya & can be heard saying "We will burn anyone who comes to transport them"
  • And media will treat his claim as credible. Opposition could say Assad dropped a nuke on premature babies & Western press would print it

Look how easily American regime media baited Trump into bombing Syria
  • The blood of Syria's persecuted minorities is cheap to the western observer.
  • Compare the media's outrage over Khan Sheykhoun to the media yawning over blowing up Shia civilians from Fua and Kefraya.
  • Besieged Shia towns. This was an attack targeting Shia civilians. Your referring to them as "loyalist" downplays the sectarian nature of it
