    What’s even worse is when Dems adopt GOP / NRA talking points and use them against other Dems. is leading. And cowards like Pete B with their politics of surrender are a HUGE part of the problem.

    They blame movies. They blame video games. They blame candidates like me. All countries have movies, video games, and politicians. The reason Americans are afraid to go to the movies is because we’re the only country in the world with more guns than people.

      This is a sad, upsetting thread that ends up where many of those who spoke for our project did: that the repercussions for coming forward about harassment or assault can be shockingly awful, but that having spoken up can mean everything for others who have experienced the abuse.

      What we know: Criminalization does not address the real causes of homelessness. Criminalization worsens homelessness. Criminalization is expensive and wasteful. Criminalization is unconstitutional. Housing, services, and protecting renters works better and more cost-effectively.

      Last week, I wrote about a proposed ordinance that punishes those experiencing homelessness for sleeping on sidewalks. Civil rights groups and homeless advocates plan to rally at City Hall to protest the proposal. My latest. via
