As long as apologies are being demanded, let's demand one from Joni Mitchell -- a White woman who elected to wear Blackface on the cover of her album DON JUAN'S RECKLESS DAUGHTER. Since Joni now feels she can make demands (SPOTIFY must pull this person or that), then, as Kat noted, Joni should apologize for Blackface. It was hurtful and it was harmful. And if she can't apologize? Then her music should be pulled from SPOTIFY and all other platforms because, by her logic, that is how we respond when we disagree with someone.
Joni got a pass. It's way past time that her pass was pulled. Joni created every one of her album covers. She and she alone is responsible. She needs to apologize.
