[Note: Ava and I have finished our piece for THIRD -- it'll go up before midnight tonight and I mean midnight Pacific time -- it's over 4200 words. It touches on a great deal, media portrayals, court cases, gender portrayals and socialization, etc. We almost wrote about two shows last week -- two that are in this piece -- but, honestly, we're tired of everyone getting a break but us and I also had some issues with my diabetes last week -- I had a diebetic seizure -- and just wasn't feeling like putting several hours into a media piece. We knew what we wanted to write about the two shows but it felt empty -- maybe that was my cop out because I didn't want to write period? -- but then Saturday we streamed a documentary and including it allowed us to say what we needed to, to spin two subjects into a third.]
