Tomorrow afternoon, the Senate will leave Washington and they won’t be back until October 11th. So, while there is no time limit on equality, we are running out of time this week.
So far, thousands of ERA supporters have sent more than 20,500 emails to the Senate demanding a floor vote on the ERA. Plus hundreds of phone calls and tweets!
I’m here to tell you that IT IS WORKING. Our contacts on the Hill are saying there is ‘buzz’. We can’t let up.

If we keep up the pressure, we can get a floor vote on the ERA and get the Republicans on record.
They want to ban abortion in every state in this country — even in ! We need the ERA more than ever before.
The House has voted twice on lifting the time limit on the ERA, but the Senate has yet to act for the ERA. Demand action NOW!

The ERA is needed more than ever. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is not the only one that is talking about a nationwide ban on abortion access, if they win the midterm elections.
The House has voted TWICE. The Senate? Nothing. NADA! |
We MUST get the Senate on record — before the midterms! Voters must see that Republicans are blocking a vote on the ERA through filibuster challenges. We owe it to ourselves and all future generations — we must add the ERA to the Constitution to protect and eliminate persistent gender discrimination. The ERA will prevent the denial of rights based on sex discrimination.
