Sen. Cassidy, Rep. Kinzinger to hold Media Availability with Veteran EMTs

Washington — U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. and Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) will hold a media availability with veteran EMTs from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) today.

Senator Cassidy introduced the Veteran Emergency Medical Technician Support Act of 2015 in the U.S. Senate to help veterans find jobs. This makes it easier for veterans with military emergency medical technician (EMT) training to pursue careers as EMTs following their military service. Introduced by Reps. Kinzinger and Capps in the U.S. House, the bill passed the House with bipartisan support in the 112th and 113th Congress. Reps. Kinzinger and Capps recently reintroduced it.
