Peters and Davis (D-CA) town hall in San Diego was refreshingly confrontational -- not just a Dem lovefest. So, credit to #TheResistance.
Constituent just stood up and condemned Peters & Davis for backing the TPP -- Peters then proceeds to rant about how great TPP was. Amazing.
Surprisingly hostile questions for Reps. Davis and Peters (D-CA) at this town hall. Constituents accusing Democratic leadership of "failure"
These Democratic town halls in San Diego have been 99% white. That's not a criticism, but I know it'd be pointed out at a right-wing event.
Not a joke: Rep. Susan Davis (D-CA) just quoted David Frum at this San Diego town hall, crowd responded with a rousing round of applause.
Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA) just asserted that the US government has been "handed over" to Putin... I asked him to elaborate. Coming soon.
Predictably shrewd analysis here from @AngNagle, one of the very few people worth reading re: the "alt-right"
My segment from the town hall yesterday held in absentia for Darrell Issa. I was looking for "paid protesters" ...
Promoting this again: people should hear refugees speak for themselves, rather than just relying on external chatter
To call Alexander Cockburn an anti-semite is laughable: he would've enjoyed skewering David Brock scum like you
Great piece by @NathanJRobinson of @CurAffairs exploring the moral complexities of Milo Yiannopolous's downfall. https://www.currentaffairs.org/2017/02/what-well-tolerate-and-what-we-wont …
Amusingly, Democrats used their own version of the "paid protester" meme to de-legitimize town hall agitators in 2009.
Paid protesters: if you're out there, please get in touch. People on the internet are sure you exist.
I've now attended several anti-Trump protests / town halls and haven't found a single "paid protester." George Soros missing in action.
