My research focuses on a single but complex question: why is it that the most atrocious forms of violence throughout history--genocide, slavery, dismemberment, & death--tend to target racialized-alien-men, while their rape and sodomization become unimaginable. Simple.

Any action which Washington or London may take against Saudi Arabia, over Jamal , will be talked over and agreed upon privately with Riyadh in advance. The US and the UK have to be seen as doing something, so as to keep up the pretence of their commitment to human rights

Imagine if the Iranian govt. chopped up a journalist in a consulate in a NATO country? All hell would break loose—sanctions, recalling ambassadors, maybe even military action.
  10. African babies are the problem? Not capitalism? Not a system that allows the Gates of the world to get so wealthy? I'm going to pass. Won't listen to or spew racist tropes.

Capitalism is quite literally going to destroy the planet for profit and centrists will be on the survival raft saying "I'm not saying capitalism is perfect, but it's the best system we've got. See this supply and demand graph? This is why socialism doesn't work."

Having won over liberal users to censorship by banning Alex Jones, Facebook and Twitter are now on a much more sweeping – and coordinated – purge of accounts that challenge the plutocracy of which they are a vital part. Read about it while you still can

Khashoggi is part of a Washington elite circle, w/ connections to influential think thanks, journos & policy makers. He was a "made man" of sorts. You can't whack a made man, made men are off limits. This is why DC is more outraged over him than what Saudi does to so many others

Saudi authorities just released a video proof of ’s departure from its consulate in Istanbul.
  15. dropped a bomb on a bus full of Yemeni school children but Sorkin didn't care. I guess the crown prince will stick to killing little kids. Less trouble for him.

In all fairness we are all fully aware of the fact that Bush made up a war. But apparently there’s a statute of limitations on atrocity. Also, if she’s hugging on Trump 12 years from now, will he get a pass too?

I’m in New Orleans with my family. Every Lyft driver mentions family scattered to the four winds, many will never return. And he was whipping up votes for Kav. And then there’s the small matter of 500,000 murdered Iraqis. Oh, wait - she thinks he’s fun at parties. Never mind.
  18. Nice try Senator. But Obama gave the green light to destroy Yemen.

I initially RT’ed w/o noticing that says the US has “HELPED the Saudis kill thousands” of Yemenis “for the last two years.” Senator, why omit the nearly 2 years pre-Trump when Obama helped the Saudis kill thousands of Yemenis? Isn’t that wrong? Like just as wrong?

Excellent point, but also entirely consistent on the part of US and UK since those two countries also bomb poorer weaker ones when it suits them

We should all be angry about what appears to be a blatant act of murder by Saudi Arabia, but notice that the senseless killing of one well-connected dissident journalist has triggered way more elite outrage than the prolonged and brutal bombing of thousands of anonymous Yemenis.
