Over the last few days, Tulsi reminded us—and the world—exactly why she should be our next commander in chief.
On back-to-back appearances on CNN’s Presidential Town Hall and The
Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she was poised, empathetic, articulate,
and gave voice to the American people’s deep frustration and exhaustion
with the series of disastrous interventionist wars that have dominated
the last two decades since 9/11.
Anyone who was watching heard the spontaneous applause everywhere
from the Town Hall stage in Texas to the soundstage in New York City on
The Late Show when Tulsi told the truth about war. She channeled the
outrage of being lied to about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, of
losing trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives, and her
determination to steer our country away from future regime change wars,
the new Cold War, and a nuclear arms race—and instead invest those
trillions of taxpayer dollars to meet the needs of the American people.
But you wouldn’t know that she hit chord with the audience if all you
read was CNN’s coverage after the fact, which was full of the usual
anti-Tulsi bias and attacks. And you wouldn’t know that she speaks for a
majority of the country if all you listened to were the commentators
and talking heads who tried to marginalize her message.
The mainstream media has done their best to either ignore or
smear Tulsi. We need to get Tulsi on the debate stage so she can keep

American people to be misled by falsehoods into wasteful,
counterproductive regime change wars. She will work to end the new Cold
War and nuclear arms race, which will continue to drain trillions of
dollars from our economy if left unchecked, and instead invest that
money in healthcare, education, infrastructure, and a clean energy
economy—to ensure the safety, security, peace, and prosperity of all
Americans.
