  • This is racism. It was wrong before, and it’s wrong now. We won’t allow it again.
  • We need a president who will take on the biggest fights we face—even if she stands alone.
  • The Hyde Amendment is the result of negotiations and compromises struck on the backs of women. Everyone in America should have access to safe and legal abortion. When I'm at that negotiation table, I won’t compromise on our rights.
  • If we're only ever on defense, we're losing. It’s time to fight for reproductive rights, and fight to win.

Today, w/ we requested entry into the child detention center. By law, as a sitting Congressmember, I should be let in. While I regularly request entry, I’m often denied. What are they hiding?
  • I will keep fighting for comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship. And it's absurd that I even have to say this, but I will: I would not divert border security funds into for-profit prisons to lock up children and asylum seekers.
