SESTA/FOSTA is making life more dangerous for sex workers and driving down wages. Mike Gravel is the only candidate who demands their repeal, and he supports the full decriminalization of sex work.

Once the campaign is over, we're going to be donating excess funds to Flint or another distressed community (like Belton, SC). And Mike wants us to start a foundation to carry on his ideas and serve some valuable role in the progressive ecosystem.
In the immediate term, we're planning to do whatever possible to qualify Mike for the debates; even if he qualifies and isn't invited, we'll use it as an opportunity to get him televised town halls so he can get his views out. (Thus the essay contest.)
As the deadline approaches, we say this: whatever happens, it's our hope that this campaign will be remembered as a tribute to a legitimately good public servant, a great man and great citizen. And an effort to articulate ideas usually seen as too radical for the public sphere.
We're also pouring money into advertising and exploring collaborations with others. It's our goal to qualify before July 10, but we'll do what we have to. And of course, we still have plenty of money to give to Flint. Hopefully we make it!
Status update: we're now 10,000 donors away from the threshold. We'd like to qualify Sen. Gravel in the next few days—and we have a few plans to do it. We're probably going to be hosting a mini-essay contest with an entrance fee of $1 and a prize of $5000 to get new donors.
The fruits of incrementalism: an insurance rate unchanged by a decade-long fight over marginal health reforms. Systemic problems require systemic solutions.

Democracy means trust: trust in people who are flawed, people who are dumb, people who don’t know what they’re talking about. Democracy is a radical leap into darkness, a massive trust in every citizen. Sometimes it fails—but there is nothing more beautiful than when it succeeds.
Donald Trump’s foreign policy is haphazard, ill-intentioned, and often malicious. But we should applaud him when he does the right thing. His steps toward rapprochement with North Korea are good, and he should go further by brokering a formal end to the Korean War.
There will always be an excuse for the next war. The next war will always be different, justified, purpose-driven.
But every single time we intervene abroad, it's a disaster. Why can't America just stay home?
