Thousands of Americans die every year because they cannot afford to see a doctor. Sadly, @amy4thepeople's daughter was one of them.
We fight for Medicare for All because no parent should have to go through that pain just so a few companies can make more in profit.

Incredibly emotional moment in Canada: "Today I saved $10,000. $1000 got me 6 months of insulin for my son. I paid $1000, that's less than we pay a month in the United States. How can we be the greatest country and I am paying that much?" #Insulin4all

"Three drug companies made $14.5 billion in profit last year, control 90% of the insulin in this country, it's just an amazing coincidence prices go up and and up and up, so what you do is you throw these people in jail if they engage in price fixing" @BernieSanders #Insulin4all

I’m incredibly overwhelmed seeing all the tweets about this trip. I vividly remember dropping a vial of Lantus when I was 11 and the fear I felt of not knowing what I was going to do. We need #Insulin4all. Thank you @BernieSanders

.@QuinnNystrom buys a vial of insulin that will last her 1-2 weeks. It retails on average for $340 in the U.S. In Canada it sells for $26-$30. Nystrom organized a similar caravan across the border to buy insulin earlier this month.

Es increíble que se pueda comprar insulina en Canada por una décima parte de lo que se compra en USA. Bernie Sanders detendrá el abuso de las grandes compañías farmacéuticas. Lo hará pq para Bernie esto se trata de asumir el poder para la gente. @Latinos4Bernie @latinovictoryus
LIVE NOW: I’m in Canada with diabetics buying insulin at one-tenth the price that they pay in the U.S. We will take on the greed of the pharmaceutical industry. https://www.facebook.com/berniesanders/videos/2562942443737351/ …

This is something that must change and @BernieSanders will get it done. It is a crime that you can buy the same medicine for the 10th of a price in Canada. Bernie will stop the greed coming from big pharma. @Latinos4Bernie

Good morning from the bus @BernieSanders is taking to Canada with a group of people with Type I diabetes. We’re in Windsor now, just a few blocks from the pharmacy where they’ll be buying insulin prices nearly 1/10 of what they are in the U.S.

This morning @BernieSanders goes from Detroit to Windsor, OT, accompanying Diabetes patients purchasing cheaper insulin in Canada. He did something similar 20 years ago as a congressman when a group of breast cancer patients left Vermont for cheaper prescription drugs.
Here's what's really going on: @RepCummings has been busy revealing the failures of the Trump administration and exposing the greed of Trump’s friends in the pharmaceutical industry, and our racist president doesn't like it. https://oversight.house.gov/investigations/investigation-of-skyrocketing-prescription-drug-prices …

Senator, this is my mother. She died of diabetes in 2009. I thank you for continuing this fight for her, and for many diabetics out there, both living and deceased. She would've been proud.
The inventors of insulin sold the patent for just $1 so it would be available to all.
97 years later, Americans are dying because drugmakers like Eli Lilly charge $300 for a vial of insulin. Tomorrow I will be joining diabetics to buy insulin in Canada for one-tenth the price.
We must undo the damage Trump has done to the rights of home care workers. We will enact a domestic workers bill of rights and guarantee these workers a living wage, workplace safety protections, fair scheduling, and protect their right to organize.
I relish the idea of defeating Donald Trump, the most dangerous president in history. But more importantly, I look forward to working with millions of you to create a government based on love and compassion, not hate and greed.
The pharmaceutical industry is the biggest bunch of crooks in this country.
When I am president, we are going to end their greed and slash prices for prescription drugs. https://twitter.com/KristinMinkDC/status/1154843249615540224 …

Donald Trump said he'd be a different kind of Republican. Instead, he has continued the same attacks on Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

Wow, I'm extremely excited I had this amazing chance to talk about the Green New Deal, and @BernieSanders's inspiring history of being there for climate justice. He gets it: only a massive movement can break the stranglehold of the fossil fuel industry and its corporate allies
A vial of insulin costs $300 in the United States.
On Sunday, I'm joining a group of diabetics to go across the border to Canada, where the same medicine — the exact same — costs $30.
You do not have to pull out your credit card when you drop your child off at school or when you call the fire department.
You shouldn't have to when you are sick and need to see a doctor. That is what Medicare for All will deliver.
