But it's a nice dream

In the roundtable for last week's POLLY'S BREW, Rachel brought up the late singer Dusty Springfield and we talked about vocals Dusty had done that we enjoyed.  I mentioned "But It's A Nice Dream" and, as community members have already read, there was confusion.  James From Brighton looked it up on Wikipedia and said it wasn't on her  discography.  I have no idea why but there's a reason I call that Crapapedia.  It's a song written by Peter Allen and that Dusty recorded for Sally Field's KISS ME GOODBYE film.  I think Dusty does a beautiful job with the vocal and Peter Allen was a songwriter who always delivered ("Don't Cry Out Loud," "I Honestly Love You," etc.).

ADDED: James From Brighton e-mailed to say that he checked and there's no mention of this recording in either Penny Valentine and Vicki Windham's DANCING WITH DEMONS: THE AUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY OF DUSTY SPRINGFIELD or Karen BArtlett's DUSTY: AN INTIMATE PORTRAIT OF A MUSICAL LEGEND.
