Jessica Dunne is a 16 year old intersectional feminist and climate activist from Dublin. Her talk is inspired by her own experience as a feminist and her frustration at the 'cookie cutter' version of feminism the media presents. She hopes her talk inspires you to look at feminism in a new light. Jessica Dunne is a 16-year-old student attending St Raphaela’s Secondary School, Dublin. Jessica is a singer-songwriter and climate activist. Her other interests include reading, drawing, debating and much more. She is a part of ‘Fridays for Future’, Dublin City ‘Comhairle na nÓg’, ‘Polluters Out’ and ‘Extinction Rebellion Youth’. She has a strong belief in the value of the youth voice and actively advocates for it where possible. Jessica grew up surrounded by strong female figures, and knows all too well the significance of feminism. In her talk she explores the movement and the reasons why she believes it is still very relevant in today’s society.
