During a break at a recent minor league hockey game in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, ten local teachers participated in a "cash grab" stunt involving $5,000 in $1 bills dumped on a carpet placed on the ice which the teachers then scrambled to stuff into their shirts and pockets. Promoted by a local bank along with the team, the Sioux Falls Stampede, the event was touted as a means to help the teachers pay for much-needed classroom supplies.
