At 83, it's time for crazy Nancy Pelosi to go. The woman who rode her rise to Minority Leader did so by blackmailing an opponent into dropping out of the race with photos of event where underage teenagers were allowed to drink. That's only one of the tactics she used. She's bullied and blackmailed her whole life and she's been an idiot forever and a day.
Rahm Emanuel is not a peace activist. But when she flopped at her 2006 press conference on Iraq -- when she bellyflopped -- it was Rahm who had to stand up and fix it. Nancy can rarely string four sentences without sounding like an idiot. At 83, it's only gotten worse.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Sunday suggested that some protesters calling for a cease-fire in Gaza could be linked to Russia and urged the FBI to investigate.
In an interview with anchor Dana Bash on CNN's State of the Union, the former House speaker said, without offering evidence, that she believed some protesters are connected to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
I'm getting really tired of Nancy and her 'red-menace' remarks. Reality, there are more connections between Russia and Jews in America. Why? Because close to a million have moved to the US since the 1980s. And I'm not smearing them as 'reds' for that or as tools of Putin. But Nancy can't make an argument, not a sound one, so she raves like a modern day Joseph McCarthy.
She swiftly received criticism from the head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Nihad Awad, who said the organization was “deeply disturbed” and called Pelosi’s suggestion that the FBI investigate the protesters “downright authoritarian.”
“We are deeply disturbed by Former House Speaker Pelosi’s comments. Rep. Pelosi’s claim that some of the Americans protesting for a Gaza ceasefire are working with Vladimir Putin sounds delusional and her call for the FBI to investigate those protesters without any evidence is downright authoritarian,” Awad said in a statement.
“Her comments once again show the negative impact of decades of dehumanization of the Palestinian people by those supporting Israeli apartheid. Instead of baselessly smearing those Americans as Russian collaborators, former House Speaker Pelosi and other political leaders should respect the will of the American people by calling for an end to the Netanyahu government’s genocidal war on the people of Gaza,” the statement continued.
Nancy Pelosi owes an apology to those advocating for a cease-fire.
In other news, CNN reports:
US President Joe Biden vowed to hold "to account" those responsible for a drone attack on a US outpost in Jordan, which killed three US Army soldiers and injured at least 34, marking the first time US troops have been killed by enemy fire in the Middle East since the beginning of the Gaza war.
US Central Command confirmed the deaths and said eight personnel had to be medically evacuated from Jordan. The number of wounded is expected to rise.
That's on Joe Biden. The war is widening and many of us warned about this in October. But Joe couldn't advocate for a cease-fire. The whole region is on the edge and Joe can take responsibility for the climate he helped create.
Meanwhile, ALJAZEERA reports, "Two brothers were shot dead in front of their family on an evacuation route in Gaza as they were heeding Israeli instructions to flee their home in Khan Younis. The parents have told Al Jazeera they thought a white flag would keep them safe."
Ava and I worked for four hours on our piece for THIRD. We'd planned to work in IMMEDIATE FAMILY but didn't. If we do anything to it, it would be work that in. At any rate, I'll be up in six hours dictating a snapshot and I'm tired so the above is it for this entry. Kat's "Kat's Korner: Green Day: Return of the Champions" went up earlier today.
