That ongoing war

A father carries his child, while the young boy carries his prosthetic legs. For thousands in , war has marred their lives forever.

That really says it all, doesn't it?

In four months, it will be the 15th anniversary of the ongoing Iraq War.

The illegal war created a land of orphans and widows.

And it still it drags on.

Barack Obama?

He ran promising to end the Iraq War.

In 2008, Samantha Power had to step down from his campaign.

Not because she called Hillary Clinton "a monster" but because she told the BBC that Barack's "promise" to end the Iraq War wasn't for real (see the March 7, 2008 snapshot -- yes, we covered it real time).

Strange, wasn't it, how the US press ignored that.

Here was a candidate running on his "promise" to end the Iraq War and there's his foreign policy advisor telling the BBC that the "promise" isn't a promise.

Where were the headlines in the US?

No where to be found.  Just distractions.

They didn't care.

And even when he left office, they didn't care.

  1. Also worth noting that Obama inherited 180K US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. That was down to around 15K when he left office.

Look, it's trashy Ben Rhodes.  He's bragging that Barack left office with 15K troops in Iraq and Afghanistan -- because Ben's full of crap.

He prided himself on lying to the American people and tricking them.

The Iraqi people should never forgive him.
