Was a pleasure meeting this week. He's a great candidate for .

  • It was such a pleasure speaking to an auditorium of students at Rio Americano High School in Sacramento earlier this afternoon. Their questions were EXCELLENT.
  • So called anti-'big govt' reps. are stealing land to oppress people @ the border. & Elsewhere build Walmarts. Guess they're ok w/ 'big govt' when it’s w/ big racism & big business. Aren’t you tired of PEOPLE coming last (after profit & hatred)?
  • Nov. 22 marks 5 yrs. since the murder of 12 yr. old Tamir Rice by police. We must end police genocide against people of color, empower communities to control policing and fight all racism depriving our children of their futures (ed. racism, employment discrim., redlining, etc.)
  • Simply deporting asylum seekers (& w/o access to counsel) is deplorable. But clearly this admin. knows no bounds - e.g. concentration camps at our border, family separations and night raids. Such human rights abuses MUST end.
  • Looking forward to tonight’s meeting with San Francisco and Alameda Greens (7pm, 2940 16th St., #217, San Fran.) [Pictured: In the Mission District, San Fran.]
  • While documenting Israeli human rights abuses, Palestinian photojournalist Mu'ath Amarnah lost his eye to an Israeli bullet. We show our solidarity with Mu’ath -, w/ the Palestinian people and the perils journalists face documenting Israeli abuses.
  • In . 2/3 of beaches could vanish. >$150 bil. in property a flood risk by 2100 — damage greater than CA’s quakes & wildfires. We must address climate change (Grn. New Deal). & We must protect ocean life, keep coasts clean & stop development erasing beaches. – at Fort Ord Dunes State Park
  • On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember those whose lives were taken from them simply because of who they are. We commit ourselves to protecting the rights of transgender people (and checking privilege), striving to create a world w/o fear and violence.
  • Trump admin. keeps proving why '1984' has earned its place on HS reading lists. Distancing himself from past US statements, int. consensus & rational thought, Pompeo says W. Bank settlements are legal. In other words, 2+2 now = 5. Rubbish.
  • The latest in the 'Chicken Sandwich Wars.' Here's a thought: reduce meat consumption. It's better for the planet (1lb. of chicken = ~500gal. of water) and no hateful anti-LGBTQIA+ orgs will ever be funded by your choice NOT to have a chicken sandwich.
  • It was such a pleasure speaking with Utah Greens about how we’ll work together to empower disenfranchised communities, end war and inequality, put people over corporate profit and protect our planet.
  • At the Green Party of Utah Semi-annual Membership Meeting this afternoon (in progress).
  • Coal looms large in Rock Springs, WY (my recent stop). But nearby in W. Wyo. there’s much cleaner energy coming from these windmills. The Green New Deal with our extension the Green Path Forward makes the global energy transition needed to secure our planet and our future.
  • We should all aim to reduce, reuse and recycle. But we need an overhaul of US recycling. We must halt outsourcing (often to the poorest countries) to stop inequalities from transferred pollution and institute stronger packaging regulation and producer responsibility.
  • condemns the recent Israeli strikes in Gaza that have so far killed 32, calls for a permanent end to all hostilities and an end to the occupation.
  • Plastics will reach an est. 17% of the global carbon budget by 2050. They affect the air we breathe and pollute the deepest of ocean habitats. seeks to ban single use plastics, hold producers accountable and work internationally to end their environmental hazards.
