This time last month, Moqtada al-Sadr was riding high on years of work towards being a movement leader. Today? He's just a thug. In the blink of an eye, he destroyed everything he had spent years building up.
It is past time the Iraqi government dealt with Moqtada.

He is an open threat to the people. He should not be allowed back in Iraq. (He's fled to Iran.) It should be over for him.
And there won't be any real objection. He's not popular with other groups. Other leaders in Iraq will be thrilled he's gone. His supporters? They've learned to live whole years without him (he flees to Iran a lot).
He is a threat to the people of Iraq and he should not be allowed back in unless it's to stand trial.
Even facing attacks from Moqtada's thugs, the protests continue.

This is the world Joe Biden created. Things might have been different if, in 2010, the people had been supported. They voted Nouri al-Maliki out as prime minister but Joe and Barack overturned their votes and gave Nouri a second term (which led to the rise of ISIS).
