Help us continue the fight for Title II Net Neutrality

In the midst of a pandemic, ensuring access to a free and open internet is a lifesaving service. This is especially essential for low-income communities and people of color, who are disproportionately impacted by both the digital divide and COVID-19.

Now, as we struggle to understand and contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the FCC’s abandonment of its Title II authority to enforce Net Neutrality leaves us dependent on voluntary pledges from corporations like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon to get and keep people online.

Thanks to supporters like you, Free Press submitted over 10,000 signatures to the FCC demanding it reinstate Title II Net Neutrality. But this is just the beginning. Please donate today and support Free Press’ fight to restore Title II Net Neutrality — and save lives — now.

In 2017, less than one month after the FCC overturned Net Neutrality and abandoned Title II, Verizon showed us just how willing internet service providers are to prioritize profits over people’s lives when the company throttled firefighters’ data in the midst of a massive California wildfire.

Companies like Verizon have let us down again and again. That’s why we need the FCC to hold internet providers accountable for the promises they make — especially with millions of people on the wrong side of the digital divide and our ability to access lifesaving communications services so critical.

For the past three and a half years, the Trump administration has attacked the most vulnerable communities to remove any and all restrictions on corporations’ ability to make enormous profits.

In the midst of a global pandemic, we need Title II Net Neutrality and the unfettered flow of information it provides more than ever. Donate today and help Free Press do whatever it takes to push the FCC to stop putting our safety in the hands of greedy corporations.

We’re all in this together.

Thank you so much,

Heather
