If you're going to emphasize a Tweet, it's incumbent upon you to register that Tweet.
Kamala Tweeted that she'd do everything she could to make Joe "our commander in chief." He is not "our" commander in chief.
Shame on Saagar and Krystal -- neither of whom comes off anti-war or pro-peace -- for emphasizing that Tweet and not pointing out the reality that, if Joe is elected, he will be our president. He will not be our commander-in-chief. He is commander-in-chief of the military.
Stop trying to turn the US into a junta. We have civilian control over the military.
Krystal is whoring for Tulsi again. But, hey, Krystal doesn't give two s**ts about ending wars. How many segments have they done on Iraq? When did RISING ever note the Iraqi protesters -- young people who have been protesting for months?
And listen to the tone with which Saagar denounces Kamala -- and the tension in his body. He may scream that race and gender had nothing to do with Kamala's primary showing but his actions and words go to the fact that his response to her is sexist and possibly racist?
I also love how Krystal tries to speak for Black America and hides behind one of the rare African-American guests the show brings on.
Could Kamala excite Black America?
She could. Her primary failure was not a reflection on her race, it was a reflection on too many people buying into the media spin that only Joe could beat Trump. Having 'their' Joe now, people who did not support Kamala -- of all groups -- could now be excited by her.
As for Krystal refusing to air Kamala's answer in the debate to Tulsi but instead tell us about it? And then to go to Kamala in an interview?
That's b.s. garbage.
When Jesse Jackson Jr. launched his ridiculous attack on Hillary Clinton, we didn't just call that nonsense out. We also called out Bill Moyers (and piece of crap Dr, Kathy) for giggling over it, for saying they wanted to discuss Hillary's 'moisty moment' but not playing Hillary speaking -- there was footage of that -- but instead playing Junior's attack on her. Bill knew it was wrong so the transcript omitted it. But that is what happened and Ava and I called that nonsense out in real time.
See "TV: Strength greeted with confusion, attacks & silence," "TV: The Comedy of Errors" and "TV: The Surreal Life stages comeback!" among other pieces.
For the same reason, I'm calling Krystal's garbage this morning. If we want to judge Kamala on her response -- as Krystal insists we must -- then, damn it, let the people see her response. Your synopsis is not her response.
Willie Brown says I'm always too harsh on Kamala but watching Krystal and Saagar's nonsense, even I feel sorry for her. (And, no, that doesn't mean I'm voting Biden. I cannot vote for anyone who supported the Iraq War and refused to take accountability. Accountability means more than words.)
