A) I don't believe THE ATLANTIC story (see Ava and my "TV: Leftists seeking public affairs programming" and CLIFF NOTES for those scared of reading: Donald trashes anyone, he has no boundaries -- but he does so when they attack him or he feels attacked by them -- so where's the precipitating event? -- a Trump attack is a response by Donald -- there's no initiating incident to prompt the response that THE ATLANTIC claims -- lies -- happened -- not a Donald fan but game it out and you'll see THE ATLANTIC story makes no sense.).
B) We don't generally highlight FOX NEWS but that's where Iraq War veteran Bobby Henline went to tell his story so we're highlighting it now.
C) I've tried to be very careful here, all these years, not to use some veteran to make a point unless it was an opinion they expressed. (And when a pissy veteran had a fit with me for noting what ABC NEWS reported, we made him happy by never mentioning him again at this site. What country is he in now because he can't come back to the US at this point? Now he'll be arrested and put into prison. Back then, according to ABC NEWS, he wouldn't have been. But now he would be, there's no question of that.) (He left Canada to move to Germany, for anyone who's confused where he's ended up. All it took was one nasty e-mail with him being pissy that I noted an ABC NEWS report on him, and he got his wish, we never wrote a new word about him.) I certainly would never use a veteran to promote a politician. That's just disgusting. Almost as disgusting as 2013 when a certain segment cheered on a disabled veteran to try to kill himself. That's what it was and we objected here because that was hideous. When the veteran thought about it, he apparently didn't agree because he didn't die in a month or two -- as the media interviews others arranged for him -- others who had political goals that were more important than the veteran's health or well being. I don't think I'll ever get over how Tomas Young was used as a partisan football -- and this was done by 'my side.' Bobby Henline is not a partisan football.
D) How telling that the group that used Henline as a partisan football has not objected once this year to the ongoing war in Iraq, never objected to the deaths of eight US service members in Iraq so far this year, never objected to US lives being used to prop up an Iraqi government that terrorizes its own people, etc. But they want to pretend suddenly that they care and the best way they can do that? Misuse Bobby Henline's image for their own political purposes. They should be ashamed of themselves.
E) When you're whoring for a politician is so great that you do to someone what was done to Bobby Henline, you need serious help. You're beyond the deep end, you need professional help.
