Norman Finkelstein isn't just a scholar and political scientist; he's also the son of Holocaust survivors. His father survived Auschwitz and his mother survived Majdanek and before that they witnessed the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. This experience has shaped his scholarship and view of politics and while some Zionists use the Holocaust to justify the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, Finkelstein cites it to argue against it. He sees a similarity between the concentration camps his parents lived in and the people of Gaza live in today. And he sees the resistance to Israeli occupation as similar to the resistance of the people of Gaza. "If the Jews had the right to resist, then so do the people of Gaza." Finkelstein responds to the "what Hamas' rockets" question by saying, "you don't like the rockets? End the siege of Gaza." ***Please support The Katie Halper Show *** On Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thekatiehalpe... Follow Katie on Twitter: https://twitter.com/kthalps
