Rubio's political future goes up in smoke as Socialists on the Russian payroll attack Democrats

On Friday, Marco Burio could have made himself the face of the GOP's future. Following that hideous performance by Donald Chump in the Oval Office, Marco could have announced he was resigning as Secretary of State over Chump's continued embrace of Putin. Instead, the former US Senator made clear that he was a lap dog, not a leader. And now his political future has vanished. As a result of that realization, Marco is having one meltdown after another. Maurício Alencar (THE DAILY BEAST) reports:

Secretary of State Marco Rubio threw a tantrum in an interview with ABC News after This Week presenter George Stephanopoulos claimed the Trump administration had “taken steps to placate Putin.”

Rubio was fuming as he dodged questions from Stephanopoulos and made an eyebrow-raising comparison between the war in Ukraine to conflicts in the Middle East.

Throughout the segment, which lasted over ten minutes, Rubio insisted Trump’s central mission was to open peace negotiations with President Vladimir Putin.

John Baker (NEWS & OBSERVER) notes, "The Democratic Party is experiencing significant challenges, with a recent Quinnipiac University poll revealing only 31 percent of voters view the party favorably. "

Well the party's out of power and limited in what it can do. A reality that is not elevating the party. Voter discontent is to be expected. But let's not pretend that it's just happening.

This weekend saw Democratic Party 'bros' Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas shooting the s**t about how awful the Democratic Party and Rachel Maddow are. Ted lied though his lying mouth because that's all he is in the last years, a disgraced liar. He lied that MSNBC doesn't ever say anything bad about Democrats and he was told this years ago by someone he can' name and years ago but how many he can't say.

And of course Jamarl -- that's Jamal with an 'r' added to it -- lapped it up.

And the few people watching that garbage thought they'd seen an honest discussion.

What they didn't know is Jamarl's SPUTNIK and Teddy is as well.

Not only are they paid by Russia for significant portions of their career, neither man is a Democrat.

See, it does matter. The left is not just the left. The left includes a lot of agitators -- some honest, some liars -- who are and always have been against the Democratic Party.

They're attacking Rachel Maddow's character, insisting that she's a paid voice for the Democratic Party when, in fact, as their 2024 tax returns will reveal, they are both on the payroll of Russian-state media SPUTNIK.

They're liars. They're not to be trusted.

And we can't afford them.

I've never called for SPUTINK to be purged from America -- radio, TV, YOUTUBE, et al. And I never will. But I do expect disclosure.

And if you're paid by Russia and you're not disclosing that? You're a Russian asset and people need to call you that. I'm surprised YOUTUBE hasn't put a label on the program noting that.

Again, no one's happy in the Democratic Party right now. We are out of power. We are up against one of the most vile threats to our democracy. These aren't happy times. So Democrats will carp and complain and that's to be expected.

But don't mistake attacks from outside the party as Democrats carping and complaining. Those outside of the party are trying to destroy the party. That's what they do when they can't take it over.

They didn't care about Chump getting back into the White House. Their goal was to harm the party. And that's why you can't trust them and we can't afford them right now.

There are 609 days until the mid-terms. For our country to survive, we need to be sure that we turn out -- we, being Democrats -- for that election. We need swing voters, to be sure. But honestly, we have enough if we can just turn out our base.

And DSA is not our base. Those Socialist worked to tank the Democratic Party. We can't afford them right now.

We can't afford their blackmail.

They tried to bully and blackmail the party. Withholding their votes? They didn't have enough votes to matter that way. What they did was poison the well and depress turnout with one lie after another about how Kamala was just as bad (or maybe worse, offered many guests on DEMOCRACY NOW!) as Chump.

That can't happen again. We need to be very clear ahead of the 2026 mid-terms and ahead of the 2028 presidential election that these people are not us. They need to come out of their political closets and stop hiding. We can not allow them to pretend they're not Socialists.

This was a hit on the country -- that's what DSA pulled.

They will go to any extremes to try to take over the Democratic Party.

Check out their early interviews -- going back to their founding -- and you'll see they knew they couldn't start their own party. It's hilarious to revisit the early 80s press and read them telling the press how they only have 25,000 members now so they can't achieve without using the Democratic Party but this party is going to grow, it's going to grow, they just know it's going to grow.

Four decades later and they're lucky to claim 80,000 members.

They can't grow because they're always squabbling and they're always hiding in political closets.

And they keep losing members. A lot of them go off to the right wing.

They play their losing games and plot to take over the Democratic Party and to punish the Democratic Party.

We can't afford them. The country can't afford them.

They're nonsense peddlers who waste our time. When not attacking the Democratic Party, they can found -- looking at THE HUMANIST REPORT -- wasting our time with bulls**t about how Jon Stewart should be the next nominee for the Democratic Party.

This is the kind of bulls**t they offer. This is how they distract us and waste our time and while doing that? They mix in attacks on our party -- our Democratic Party. Which is not their Socialist party. And when they grasp from time to time just how pathetic and unsuccessful their efforts are, they launch serious attacks on us.

We can't afford it.

Years ago when the internet meant we were going to take on the media, there was talk about how this site could monitor this show and that site could monitor another or this site could monitor this elected official or that site could . . .

I'm not opposed to criticism of elected Democratic Party officials -- not even during this crisis period.

But I am opposed to organized hit jobs. For every upfront and honest broker like Tabitha of TABITHASPEAKS, there are ten closet cases calling out Hakeem Jeffries.

And for the closet cases, it's an organized plan. You can see it work though and bubble up via the on-the-same-page-by-chance closet cases.

Push Hakeem to do more, absolutely. If you don't think he's being strong enough, demand more. But if you're seeing all these sites slamming him while also pimping AOC for leadership, start doing the connections in your own head.

It's amazing to me that in all these years online, Democrats can still be so stupid when it comes to an organized hit job on a Democrat -- an organized hit job carried out by Socialists.

These are scary times. I get that. I've lived through them before. I've lived through the repeated claims that the Democratic Party was over.

Despite those dramas, millions of people remain Democrats. And yet the DSA can't even get to 100,000 members. This despite their ranks being in charge now of THE NATION, of JACOBIN, of IN THESE TIMES, of DEMOCRACY NOW!, of SECULAR TALK, of COMMON DREAMS, of . . .

At their finest, the DSA's goal was to push the Democratic Party further to the left.

In 2024, they set out to tank the party and the country. And we can't afford them right now.

They're liars and we've indulged their liars. They've got a writer at THE NEW REPUBLIC. And people were outraged online when I pointed out he was a DSAer on BLUESKY.

Strange, that truth outraged them. They should have been outraged for other things. Like the writers 2017 'report' on the DSA for SLATE that never disclosed he was a member of the DSA. He wrote it as though he was just a journalist learning about the DSA and reporting on it.

They lie like that all the time -- over and over. If they can't deceive, they have no real influence.

Now when I first started raising this on BLUESKY, the response was usually that I was a liar. These people weren't Socialists! As the receipts mount, most people stop defending them. The ones who do continue to try to act as though it's okay to lie? They're DSA. So the good news there is that people are waking up to them. And when they try to pull their bulls**t in the next presidential election, when they show up onscreen with Amy Goodman posing as Democrats who just don't happen to be enthused with the Democrat nominee, we need to be prepared to call them out and point out their lies and deceptions.

What?

We're going to count on Amy Goodman? We think she's suddenly going to discover ethics?

Marco's political future has gone up in smoke. That's a good thing. DSA-ers getting exposed is another good thing.
