2024: The Year of Betrayal From Inside The Left

Mike's picked US House Rep Rashida Tlaib as the idiot of the 2024. He might be letting her off easy, she might very well be the idiot of the decade. For those who don't know, Rashida Tlaib is supposed to be a Democrat and she's supposed to be a Palestinian-American.

Because of that last supposed to be, we were all supposed to give her a wide berth.  Palestinians were being killed in Gaza (true) so we all had to try to understand how difficult this was for her. That understanding was a one-way street and we'll get to that in a bit.  But mainly, it was about infantilizing her to excuse her stupidity.

Rashida and her sister worked hard to elect Donald Chump, the Convicted Felon.

For those who slept through the year, Kamala Harris replaced Joe Biden as the Democratic Party's presidential nominee at the end of July. Joe is supposedly claiming now that if he hadn't stepped aside, he would have won.  That would make him second only to Rashida in stupidity.  As bad as his one and only debate with Chump was, the interviews that followed were what made it clear that he couldn't handle the campaign trail.  His poll numbers sunk after that debate and would have only sunk further it he was doing campaign events on a daily basis.  (The one significant campaign event he did for Kamala resulted in the media slamming him for days.)

Rashida and her sister had run an "Uncommitted" campaign against Joe Biden -- there was also an Abandon Biden campaign run by similar Gaza Freaks.

Let's talk terms.  "Gaza Freaks" does not refer to the Palestinian people in Gaza.  Nor does it refer to people in the US working sincerely for a cease-fire.  It does stand for the crazies who never accomplish anything, the freaks whose 'work' on the issue (running their mouths) has only alienated Americans for years and years. That's because they're stupid and need others to be.

Hamas?  A terrorist organization.  Also the government!  To a degree.  But you're not talking about the public health sector when you're talking about bombings or shootings or what have you.  Yes, the Israeli government attacks and, yes, you've got apartheid.  And you've had that for decades and it won't go away tomorrow.  Those of us who worked to end apartheid in South Africa knew that we had to be in it for the long haul to get the US government to stop its support for apartheid.  We didn't say, in 1988, for example, "Vote for Reagan! That'll teach Dukakis and the Democratic Party!"

Rashida's group wanted a conversation which became they were going to tell the DNC who was going to be up onstage at the convention.  It's never worked that way before.  But they thought protesting and bitching to the media would help them.  Gaza Freaks.

Kamala was the better choice for Palestine.  Gaza Freaks kept talking about the need to make her break with Biden!!!  Don't you love it when the so-called left is the one thinking they can bully a female politician?

Kamala couldn't break with Biden.  It would have been a slap in his face that FOX "NEWS" would have played up and used to try to split support within the Democratic Party.  If you missed it, Chump was already trying to play that card with his talk of poor Joe and how the nomination was stolen from him and blah blah blah.

Gaza Freaks never learned to read the room.

And there's no bigger Gaza Freak than Tlaib.

She's supposed to be a "Palestinian-American," remember?

But she didn't act like an American, did she?

2024 was not a "We don't know how they would rule" type of election.

Kamala was qualified.  Chump was a Convicted Felon who led an insurrection against the government.

Rashida Tlaib is Zell Miller, but she's actually far worse.  In 2004, Democrat Zell Miller betrayed the party by refusing to support the presidential nominee John Kerry.  That's what Rashida did in 2024.  She's not really a Democrat, she's one of those Democratic Socialists for America.  But she takes DNC money and expects Democrats to defend her (which they largely have prior to 2024) and then refuses to support the nominee.  She needs to be gone.  She needs to be cut off from all DNC monies.  She needs to be primaried.  She betrayed the party and, what's worse, she betrayed the country.

Again, Donald Chump was a known in 2024.  We knew what he'd done before, we knew what he was planning.  It was Rashida's duty to campaign for Kamala.

And before you whine about Palestine, just STFU.

She took an oath to uphold the Constitution.

Are you telling me that she lied when she voted?

Because the fool voted twice to impeach Donald Trump. wice.

She knew the threat he was well before 2024.  But instead of supporting the Constitution and joining her political party in rallying voters for Kamala, she worked to depress and suppress the enthusiasm and the turnout.

So let's all stop babying her.  No, she's a member of the US Congress and her first duty was to protect America.  We don't vote someone into Congress because they tell us they're going to protect Belgium.

--

Again, she twice voted to impeach Trump.

I'm making that point but ask yourself why no one else did.

Amy Goodman and all the other whores kept acting as though being Palestinian American meant you could betray Americans.  No, you can't.

She did and she got away with it in 2024.  F**k around and find out means she's not walking away unscathed.  She betrayed the county by helping to put Chump back in office -- after twice finding him -- legally finding him -- to be guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.  There is no excuse for that.and there is legal term for her actions: Dereliction of duty.

Chump supporters who argue that there was never grounds for impeachment should use her actions to make their point because when she refused to stand with the Democratic Party against Trump, she repudiated her 2019 vote for impeachment and her 2021 vote for impeachment.

Tlaib and others couldn't have gotten away with what they did without our 'left' media joining in.  And join in THE NATION, THE PROGRESSIVE, COMMON DREAMS and DEMOCRACY NOW! did.

That's why, this year, to cover Kamala we went to some outlets that we don't usually.  THE VIEW, for example, because they did straight forward conversations that people could follow easily.  We did MSNBC.  We'd ignored them before.  I like Chris and we'll continue to note his program.  I know Lawrence O'Donnell and think he does a great job, so that's fine too.  Rachel Maddow?  We've long been on opposite sides for a number of reasons.  Those reasons -- largely AIR AMERICA RADIO related -- can be left in the past because she's not a liar to her viewers.  Doesn't mean she's perfect but we did start noting her and we'll continue to.

We didn't note John Nichols work.

I did mention that he and Joan Walsh would have a pro-Kamala piece at THE NATION from time to time and I did note that no one reads them and that I wasn't interested in highlighting them.  When Joan or John wrote a pro-Kamala piece, please note that racist Katrina vanden Heuvel did not reTweet the pieces the way she did with all THE NATION's attack pieces on Kamala. Those she reTweeted.  Just like she reTweeted her friend the Trump supporting homophobe who attacked Sally Field in a Tweet (a Tweet Katty Bitch Bitch reTweeted).  That people take this spoiled bitch seriously when her grandfather -- that's where her money comes from -- made his millions ripping off Lena Horne and other Black performers is outrageous.  That's life.  In a film, a mob with torches would have descended upon the racist's Harlem mansion and kicked her White ass out of it.

What did John do?  What didn't John Nichols do?  Do we want to go back to his 2004 conspiracy that he presented as fact?  At the end of 2003, he stated that Wesley Clark was just holding a spot because at the convention the DNC would name the evil Hillary Clinton to be the nominee.  He presented his deranged thoughts as fact.  Then he wrote the book about impeachment -- THE GENIUS OF IMPEACHMENT -- and it came out and he was doing press right before and a little after but then Nancy Pelosi took impeachment off the table and John Nichols stopped promoting his book.  Or how about his bad column in which he blamed the Iraq War not on politicians but on . . . Barbra Streisand.

I really don't know why anyone would believe a damn thing John Nichols ever says.  In 2008, he lied repeatedly.  AP, he insisted, got the story wrong, Barack wasn't telling Canada that his anti-NAFTA talk was just talk and not to worry, it was Hillary!!!!!  And John had the scoop and would be writing about it.  He never wrote about it because AP was right.  But he lied and he lied to give Barack time for the story to drop out of the news cycle.  Samantha Power quits the campaign because the BBC is about to air the interview where she says Barack's promise to pull US troops out of Iraq is not a promise and he'll decide what to do after he's elected and in the White House.

Big news.

So John ignored it and wrote a lying column about how mean Hillary had Barack kick Samantha out of his campaign.  Just because Samantha called her "a monster" and, John insisted, they'd been friends so why was Hillary doing this!!!!  Hillary was never friends with Samantha and they hadn't even spoken.  But, hey, put your lies out there and everyone can focus on that and not Samantha's BBC interview.  (We covered that interview repeatedly here.  John has stuck to his lies.)

I don't forgive that s**t.  Someone can be wrong and that's fine.  I can be wrong many times a day.  But there's a difference between being wrong and being a lying whore.

So, no, we didn't note John Nichols or others like that.

We stopped noting DEMOCRACY NOW!

Again, we stopped.

Due to all the lies from that show, we stopped noting it for about a decade.  We only started back up when Palestinians were under attack in the fall of 2023.  That was my mistake.  Once a whore, always a whore and that's all Amy Goodman is.

Let's review how Amy Goodman handled Kamala Harris' campaign for president.

August 1st, Goodman kicked things off with "Trump Questions If Kamala Harris Is Black in Hate-Filled Interview with Black Journalists at NABJ." A curious piece where Kamala's attacked by Donald Trump during the interview -- an interview Amy re-airs -- the attacks in full -- with no commentary when she normally brings on one to two guests to address Trump's remarks. Instead, she just gave Trump a platform to accuse Kamala of . . . not being Black.

A day later, she would again revist the slur against Kamala by re=airing the slur and bringing on guest Marc Lamont Hill to respond to them.  Was that her idea of balance?

August 7th, she did a segment with a fringe lunatic Asma Mohammed with the Uncommitted Movement who insulted Kamala and made demands for a ceasefire, an arms embargo and for the unknown Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan to deliver a speech on Palestinian suffering at the Democratic Party's presidential convention. We'll come back to the doctor,  But please note that the Socialist movement -- Uncommitted was booked over and over on the program.

Wait!

Sorry, I shocked you, didn't I?  You didn't know it was a Socialist movement.  That was never noted on air nor was it noted when 'experts' came in and they were also Socialists.  It's how Amy always stacks the deck against Democrats.

The same episode features a segment where Socialist Branko Marcetic praises Tim Walz as a solid pick and praising his "robust record" -- but, again, Amy presented him as a journalist, not as a Socialist.  IT does matter and we'll get into that.  Branko was also playing reticent since he refused to note  Governor Walz's refusal to meet with his constituents who wanted a cease-fire but did praise "strengths as a communicator" (alleged strengths that were nowhere to be seen in his one and only debate with JD Vance).

August 15th, it was time for Layla Elabed to repeat Uncommited would not vote for Kamala unless their demands were met -- as though the brief meeting Kamala had with Layla was a hostage negotiation? Layla's not just the co-chair of Uncommitted, she's also Rashda Tlaib's sister.

August 15th, Kamala comes up again when an arms sale to Israel is announced and Goodman declares, "Also, though, the timing of this being right before the Democratic convention, where protests are planned for the Biden administration -- that is, President Biden and Vice President Harris -- the Biden administration’s support of Netanyahu with these military sales." The guest she's speaking to, Josh Paul, hadn't noted Kamala.

 August 19th?

This kicked off the two hour daily coverage.  During the DNC, Amy expands DN! to two hours Monday through Friday -- many stations drop it back to one hour on Friday because the convention's over and that's why, historically, the second hour of the Friday show every four years has such a tiny audience compared to the rest of the week.

So on this first day of the convention, Amy brought in clips and brought on Socialist -- again, I'm providing the i.d.s that Goody Whore didn't -- Bill Ayers  to try to liken US action and responsibility in (for) the Vietnam War with Gaza. She was frothing at the mouth and down under as she lusted over the thought that the Democratic convention would be like the one in Chicago in 1968 --  one filled with protests and violence. Bill Ayers disappointed her by refusing to call on people not to vote for Kamala ("But it is also true that voting is not a Valentine. It’s a practical, tactical move. It’s not a moral question; it’s a practical question. And two things can be true at the same time. The lesser of two evils can be evil, and the lesser of two evils can be lesser. And so, recognizing all the contradictions in voting, it takes 15 minutes. You can be an activist for 365 days a year and vote for 15 minutes, and that is probably worth doing.").

This was what left voters should have been hearing.  Michael Albert (ZNET) was one of the few serving up this wisdom.  Everyone else wanted to disappear history -- at one outlet after another and this despite the fact that these same outlets, to this day, glorify historian Howard Zinn.

The same day as Ayers, Goodman also brought on freak show Hatem Abudayyeh who wanted to attack not just Kamala but also Joe, Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer by name. Freak show would then insist that the small protest at the RNC (as opposed to the big one he was planning for the DNC) was due to the fact that Republicans were not "in power." Did he not take civics in high school? Congress has the power of the purse. Republicans controlled the House of Representatives when Freak Show showed up August 19th. There was no excuse to attack Kamala -- who was not president -- while giving a pass to Republicans and especially the Republican controlled house. And Congress can filibuster. Does he not know what Senator Mike Gravel accomplished during Vietnam?

August 20th, it was time for a segment featuring the "voices" of some of the protesters. DEMOCRACY NOW! was basically little more than an infomercial for the Socialists in Uncommitted.  Then it was time for another segment attacking the Democrats and Kamala and this one is most notable for Gaza Freak Layla Elabed -- again, Rashida's sister --  invoking the name of Fannie Lou Hamer and trying to liken herself to Fannie.

No, Fannie was a Civil Rights activist, she was someone who ran for the US Senate in 1964, her brutal arrest during a voter registration drive in 1963 had made her even more well known and she was calling out the racism in the US against their own citizens in their own country.

Your foreign policy issue, Lalya, didn't make you one damn bit like Fannie.

And, let's remember, as Tabitha of TABISTHA SPEAKS has documented, this is when the Gaza Freaks take to Tik-Tok to trash Black women and to tell us to keep their names out of our mouths. Well f**k you right back, Layla. Keep Fannie's name out of your damn mouth.

For this second day of convention coverage, they did take a moment to play -- a moment -- UAW's Shawn Fain's speech at the DNC endorsing Kamala and the party. A moment? DEMOCRACY NOW! pretends to be pro-labor.  There was more than enough time to play Shawn's speech. In full. But Goody couldn't take it so they edited it. She pretends to care about labor but she reduces the speech of UAW's president from 791 words to 391. Again, finally there's a pro-Kamala voice speaking about her strengths and that's who gets edited on the episode. Goody Whore was fixing the race all along, don't pretend the whore wasn't.

This is the episode where Goodman finally discovers a Black woman Stacy Davis Gates and Stacy gets to speak two sentences about Kamala -- two. And then because two sentences is too much for Amy, Alex Han, in the same segment, attacks Kamala for, you know this is coming, Gaza.

Alex Han is part of IN THESE TIMES. They did not -- in their dirty rag (which promoted the false link between autism and vaccines, please remember) -- every praise Kamala. Not in an article on the website and not in an article in the print magazine. That would be the same periodical that Good man claimed on air was a "progressive magazine." Why do you lie? Talk about dirty whores.

If there's nothing wrong with Socialism -- I'm not threatened by it -- why do you lie and call it "progressive." It's not progressive, it's Socialism. That's why it's in Chicago to this day and that's what it's been since it started.

I can remember Laura Flanders, in 2006, when Bernie Sanders got elected to the Senate, saying on AIR AMERICA RADIO they better start saying Socialist senator Bernie. I agreed with her. But to this day, we're still lied to.

In fact, during this episode, Goodman was hailing as an "independent." The Tea Party doesn't try to deny who they are, MAGA doesn't try to deny who they are. There's nothing wrong with being a Socialist so why do whores like Amy Goodman work overtime to erase Socialists instead of raising awareness? Because political closets are for liars and tricksters.

Then it was time for three Gaza Freaks who tried to disrupt Joe Biden's DNC speech. I don't need your bulls**t at a political convention. Don't need it, don't want it. You can protest outside all you want. There was no reason to interject yourself into Joe's speech. No one needed it and no one wanted to. And the disturbance was an embarrassment for the Gaza Freaks and back fired on them. Only whores like Amy Goodman covered it as something important the next day. And not only did the three freaks get to speak at length as guest on the segment, the interrupting remarks of Joe's speech? That got played in full. The only one that got censored on that day's two hour crapfest was Shawn who lost 400 words from his speech because he made the mistake of explaining what Kamala had done and what she could do. And Amy Goodman wasn't having that.

August 21st kicked off with Zaha Hassan.

Here's the kind of garbage Amy and Zaha provided:

AMY GOODMAN: Can you talk about the trajectory and whether it is significantly or meaningfully different from Republican policy on Gaza, Israel, Palestine?

ZAHA HASSAN: No. In fact, I think there’s been an almost competition between Democrats and Republicans on “how much can we show Israel that we support them and that we have their back?”

That's the kind of liars we got over and over on DEMOCRACY NOW!

Then it was time for a segment telling viewers there was no real difference between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on immigration.

Then it was time for Michelle Obama and Barack Obama's speech the night before at the DNC. Michelle gave the greatest speech at the DNC. She truly came into her own. Her speech was 2188 words. GoodyWhore broadcast 451 words. She did allow Michelle's remarks about the party to air and some of her critique of Chump to be broadcast. But praise for Kamala, oh, White Amy wasn't having that.

And let's note what Goody Whore cut from Michelle's speech:

Kamala Harris and I built our lives on the same foundational values. Even though our mothers grew up an ocean apart, they shared the same belief in the promise of this country. That’s why her mother moved here from India at 19. It’s why she taught Kamala about justice, about the obligation to lift others up, about our responsibility to give more than we take. She’d often tell her daughter, “don’t sit around and complain about things. Do something.” So, with that voice in her head, Kamala went out and she worked hard in school, graduating from an H.B.C.U., earning her law degree at a state school. And then she went on to work for the people, fighting to hold lawbreakers accountable, strengthening the rule of law, fighting to give folks better wages, cheaper prescription drugs, a good education, decent health care, child care, elder care. From a middle-class household, Kamala worked her way up to become vice president of the United States of America. My girl, Kamala Harris, is more than ready for this moment. She is one of the most qualified people ever to seek the office of the presidency. And she is one of the most dignified. A tribute to her mother, to my mother and to your mother, too. The embodiment of the stories we tell ourselves about this country. Her story is your story. It’s my story. It’s the story of the vast majority of Americans trying to build a better life. Look, Kamala knows, like we do, that regardless of where you come from, what you look like, who you love, how you worship, or what’s in your bank account, we all deserve the opportunity to build a decent life. All of our contributions deserve to be accepted and valued. Because no one has a monopoly on what it means to be an American. No one. Kamala has shown her allegiance to this nation. Not by spewing anger and bitterness, but by living a life of service, and always pushing the doors of opportunity open to others.

Goody Whore cut the whole part about who Kamala was and her service and her work. Goody Whore wasn't going to have that because she's a damn racist and you're a damn fool if you're donating money to her crap ass show a this point.

As bad as Michelle was treated, it was something to listen to Barack's speech at the convention (I was at the convention) and then see Goody reduce Barack's 3363 word speech to 110 words. She gutted his speech and note especially this section of the speech which Goody didn't air:

We are ready for a President Kamala Harris. And Kamala Harris is ready for the job. This is a person who has spent her life fighting on behalf of people who need a voice and a champion. As you heard from Michelle, Kamala wasn’t born into privilege. She had to work for what she’s got, and she actually cares about what other people are going through. She’s not the neighbor running the leaf blower — she’s the neighbor rushing over to help when you need a hand. As a prosecutor, Kamala stood up for children who had been victims of sexual abuse. As Attorney General of the most populous state in the country, she fought big banks and for-profit colleges, securing billions of dollars for the people they had scammed. After the home mortgage crisis, she pushed me and my administration hard to make sure homeowners got a fair settlement. Didn’t matter that I was a Democrat. Didn’t matter that she had knocked on doors for my campaign in Iowa — she was going to fight to get as much relief as possible for the families who deserved it. As Vice President, she helped take on the drug companies to cap the cost of insulin, lower the cost of health care, and give families with kids a tax cut. And she’s running for president with real plans to lower costs even more, protect Medicare and Social Security, and sign a law to guarantee every woman’s right to make her own health care decisions. In other words, Kamala Harris won’t be focused on her problems -- she’ll be focused on yours. As president, she won’t just cater to her own supporters, punish those who refuse to kiss the ring or bend the knee. She’ll work on behalf of every American. That’s who Kamala is. And in the White House, she will have an outstanding partner in Governor Tim Walz.

When people spoke of Kamala and her credentials, they didn't get heard on DEMOCRACY NOW! which was Amy's way of carrying out Donald Chump's con of Kamala has no plans, she has no experience, she is a DEI hire and other bulls**t. Grasp that Amy Goodman worked overtime to intentionally bury a Black woman's qualifications and to put Donald Chump back into the White House

A segment then followed on abortion rights. Now we've noted Michelle Goodwin and promoted her before. Those days are over. This segment is why, to quote Cass Elliot, I wouldn't piss on her if she were on fire. Michelle's a professor, yes. She's also a journalist and she hots a podcast for MS. magazine. So she should have been smart enough to talk about Kamala all on her own. That's what the convention was about, right? But there was Amy Goodman yacking away and never mentioning Kamala and her record on reproductive rights. And Michelle was too damn stupid to figure out what was going on -- or maybe she was just happy to share the space with all the White folks featured in that segment.

Then it was time for another  segment with the Uncommitted movement -- who wasn't voting for Kamala Harris --  to get an entire segment airing his speech.

Airing his speech, all 1,150 words -- that's more than she aired from Michelle and Barack combined. In fact, that's almost double the amount of time she gave to Barack and Michelle (combined, Goody Whore aired 561 words from the Obamas).

The final segment of the episode was politcal nepo-baby and nobody Andy -- "Andy" -- is he a Gibb brother -- Levin who wanted to praise the Uncommitted movement that was against Kamala. He wanted to praise them. Andy, for those who don't know, only served two terms in Congress. AIPAC, he insists, was the problem. Did AIPAC also get into office? Oh, no, nepo-baby's daddy stepped down from the office so that Little Andy -- 64-year-old Little Andy -- could run for it. And he got elected and then he got re-elected and then he got kicked out of Congress. Nepo-baby and Goody Whore rushed to blame AIPAC. I'm not a fan or supporter of AIPAC but what got the brat -- and self-identified Zionist (a detail Goody ignored) -- out of office was redistricting. Either he or fellow Democrat Haley Stevens was going to be kicked out of Congress when redistricting put both incumbent into the same district.

August 22nd brought Jeremiah Ellison to the program. To talk about Karen Monahan's accusations that Jeremiah's dad domestically abused her? No, that didn't come up.   Jeremiah was there as part of Uncommitted. It was days after Uncommitted had tried to disrupt Joe's speech and they just couldn't understand why some minor Georgia official of their Uncommitted craze couldn't be put on stage at the DNC. Let's recap, they refused to endorse and support Kamala Harris. They protested outside the DNC. They got into the convention and heckled Joe Biden during his speech. And the Gaza Freaks couldn't understand why the whole world couldn't stop for them and their wants.

That's exactly how ignorant they were and they were encouraged in their stupidity by the likes of Goody Whore. Before we got to Jeremiah, we had to endure multiple whiners -- oh, why can't we, at the last minute, demand that we get a speaker!!! we want throw our tantrum! And Goody Whore patted them on the head and indulged them. Then Jeremiah came along to trash Kamala as well.

Next segment was to promote Tim Walz. They loved him, left media. THE PROGRESSIVE, for example, couldn't print one kind story about Kamala but they could and did praise Tim. He was a 'progressive' -- they insisted. The rest of us saw someone who seemed untethered to the earth -- something that would only come across more in September. But he gave a speech at the DNC and Goody Whore aired 580 words of it -- yes, that was more than Barack and Michelle combined but remember Tim Walz is White. Let's all pretend that had nothing to do with the different standard of coverage he got than Kamala from DEMOCRACY NOW!, THE PROGRESSIVE, COMMON DREAMS, THE NATION, etc etc.

Let's also all pretend that Democratic Socialists of America weren't publicly claiming Tim Walz as one of their own.

In the segment, Branko Marcetic bragged about Tim's "level of diversity" and Amy gushed "Born in Nebraska."

For those missing the dog whistle, 89% of the population in Nebraska is Anglo or Latino White. Only 5% is Black. Again, racist Amy gushed, "Born in Nebraska."

Then it was time for another Uncommitted segment this time with US House Rep Ilhan Omar. Then another Uncommitted segment with two Gaza Freaks -- one of whom insisted, "Eighty-six percent of Democrats support a ceasefire. I know the people at this convention want to hear from a Palestinian. They need to hear from a Palestinian. As someone who isn’t Palestinian, I want to hear from a Palestinian on that main stage. They deserve that stage. They need that stage. Do you not think that over the last 10 months, that we at least owe Palestinian Americans that? I do."

Wait.

They need to hear from Palestinians or they need to hear from Palestinian-Americans because those are two different categories of people.

Doesn't that  raises an even bigger question?

The idiot Asma Mohammed wants you to hear from Palestinians or Palestinian Americans -- they are not one in the same, no one is carrying out genocide -- at this point -- against Palestinian Americans in the US. Abbas Alawieh is someone that Amy repeatedly brought on the program including for this segment. And he's not Palestinian or Palestinian American. He's Lebanese American.

Grasp that.

Grasp that the two idiots appearing yet again on DEMOCRACY NOW! and taking up space did so at the expense of actual Palestinian Americans.

These people must be heard -- cries Asma. Unless, of course, she can be heard instead. She's not going to step aside.

Grasp that.

She's part of the problem and too stupid to grasp it. It's like when Mommy's Pantyhose of IAVA would try to go on CNN and talk about command rape and assault of women who serve. Why is that asshole on camera? He's not an expert on it and it's never been a situation he's faced. So we repeatedly called him out and by the same token I call out the two Gaza Freaks for refusing to say, "Amy, you know what, you need to speak to Palestinian-Americans."

"They deserve that stage," screeched Asma, "they need that stage! We at least owe Palestinian Americans that!"

She says that.

Into a microphone that should have been hooked up to a Palestinian-American.

Grasp that.

Then it's time for a segment with Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan. Uncommitted already pimped Ruma from Georiga as their Palestinian speaker. And she is Palestinian-American. But in this segment, we learn the 'movement' is now behind Dr Tanya. Why? First off, you don't push two people for the same slot. You stay focused. Second, didn't you Gaza Freaks make the case over and over for a Palestinian to be up on that stage? Do all Arabic people look the same to you? Correct me if I'm wrong on this (common_ills@yahoo.com) but Dr Tanya sounds -- and looks -- exactly like a Stanford student I met speaking out against the Iraq War in 2005 or 2006. And that Tanya Haj-Hassan was from Jordan. She's never identified as having roots in any Middle East country when Amy brings her on the program. But, again, she looks and sounds exactly like the student with the same name that I spoke with on the Stanford campus in 2005 or 2006.

In fact, don't correct me, it's the same woman. So grasp that. Asma's screaming one moment that a Palestinian or a Palestinian-American must be on the stage and then the next moment they're okay with a woman from Jordan being on the stage instead. Seems like they had a lot of problems -- all of their own making. Time for another Gaza Freak segment -- this one also tries to include climate change -- as a non-Palestinian attacks Kamala (the meaning of "cease-fire" is to ambiguous).

610. That's the number for August 23rd's episode. Kamala made history accepting the party's nomination the night before and Goody Whore serves up 610 words from the speech. That's thirty more words than Amy gave Tim. Only thirty. She's the presidential nominee and Amy doesn't give a damn.

She's brought on Aunt Jemima.  A Black woman so eager to be part of White Socialist society that she trashed a sister, trashed a woman who could have been the first US president.  Barbara Ramsey a Socialist (not i.d.ed as such on air) and part of Uncommitted (also not identified on air).  Viewers and listeners were supposed to think that this was just a Black woman on the left.

Amy noted at the start of the first segment, that Aunt Jemima "criticizes Harris for her pro-Israel policy and for refusing to let Palestinian Americans address the convention" -- see over and over Amy telegraphed that Kamala wasn't good enough to be the president and she did that with one attack after another. Racist piece of trash.

And then it's time for Ruwa Romman, the Palestinian-American from Georgia who didn't get to speak but Amy's going to air what she would have said -- she's going to air 601 words. Kamala, a presidential nominee, gets only 9 more words and we're not supposed to notice that or to notice Ruwa's lies as well. And it is a lie.

She has the nerve to declare, "But remember Fannie Lou Hamer, shunned for her courage, yet she paved the way for an integrated Democratic Party. Her legacy lives on, and it’s her example we follow." Get it through your thick skulls, you not liking US foreign policy is not the same as Fannie Lou Hamer and other Civil Rights activists having to fight for the right to vote, the right to register to vote and to be heard in the Democratic Party. It's not the same. Stop pretending that it is. It's insulting and it's garbage and whores like Amy Goodman have encouraged your stupitity. If you were being beaten in this country or hanged for attempting to vote, then it might be the same or similar. But you're talking about something happening overseas and a foreign policy that you do not agree with. Stop pretending it's the same thing, it's not. And that is why so many Black people are so done with the Gaza Freaks and all their damn lies. Palestinians in Gaza? They're not US citizens. Your analogy is inherently false and only refveals how stupid you truly are.

"How Shirley Chisholm & Fannie Lou Hamer Paved the Way for Kamala Harris" is the segment. One sentence -- a clip from Al Sharpton speaking -- draws a line between the three women. Then it's time for Amy and Aunt Jemima Barbara to trash Kamala in the only other time she's mentioned in the segment -- in fact, the only time Kamala's named in the segment because they've edited Al Sharpton so poorly he's not even saying Kamala's name.

Then it's time for another segment with Barbara where she declares "you know, it’s very hard to be enthusiastic about this moment in the Democratic Party, with Gaza and everything else. " Again, we should have been told she was a Socialist and not a Democrat -- Socialist are rarely ever excited by anything the Democratic Party does. Whores.

Then we got another segment with Barbara about bad Kamala. Babs does note her 2011 trip to Palestine in this segment, finally. Time for another segment with Gaza Freaks, they came to protest -- came? They're from Chicago, they live there though Goody labels them from "Little Palestine." Last segment, Amy keeps trashing Kamala and trying to get Greg Caser to join her but he refuses to take the bait.

August 27th has a segment which tells you that "rent caps" are just talk on the part of Kamala and it would really be something for Congress -- translation, she's a liar.:

And Vice President Harris and former President Trump have started to be forced to talk about housing in a big way. They both have plans that speak to some of the scale and breadth of the crisis. And tenants need to see a lot more. Vice President Harris started talking about rent caps, which is great, and for right now it’s just messaging, and tenants are desperate to see material action.

AMY GOODMAN: During her first major campaign rally in Atlanta, Harris pledged, quote, “take on corporate landlords and cap unfair rent increases.” Can you talk about what this would mean for the kind of organizing you’re doing in Kansas City and around the country in your newly launched Tenant Union Federation, Tara?

TARA RAGHUVEER: A regulatory agenda that takes seriously the disproportionate power that landlords and property managers have over our lives is well overdue, right? Heather describes this in her reporting. The RealPage lawsuit is one example of this kind of anti-competitive, violent, extractive behavior in the market. And what we really need is for the federal government to intervene. Until this point, the federal government has not intervened to protect tenants. In fact, the government has been an enabler of some of the worst business practices. The government backs financing to the tune of $150 billion every year through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They issue government-backed loans to landlords across the country, and some of those same landlords are the landlords participating in these price-fixing schemes. So, we need a regulatory agenda. This is not a problem that will be solved by simply building more housing, as the RealPage executives and a bunch of other sort of mainstream economists might suggest. And that regulatory agenda has to include tenant protections. It has to include rent caps. So, Vice President Harris and current President Biden have been talking about rent caps. And as I said, that’s a good thing. The thing that they’re talking about, though, is simply a directive to Congress, and it’s tied to a tax benefit that landlords [inaudible] --

August 30th features four segments -- all hit pieces on Kamala. "Tougher on immigration than Trump," "“Harris could be worse than Biden”," third segment finds guest praising Kamala on income issues so Nikhil Goyal only gets to speak twice -- Amy needs to instead rush to David Sirota so he can slam Kamala.

Are you seeing what they did?  Let's go to the next month.

September 2nd, Labor Day.  A clip show prepared ahead of time.
Shawn Fain's August 19th speech is aired as part of a Labor Day special with other old news (Howard Zinn, Jane McAlevey both deceased and then Shawn's month old speech).

Kamala next gets mentioned (we're ignoring the headlines in each episode, by the way, it's much worse for DN! if we include those segments) on September 9th.  A dual citizen is presented as "American."  (September 16th, she'll be correctly identified as a "dual national") and it's time to again attack Kamala while glorifying the thug Recep Tayyip Erdogan who has been president of Turkey since 2014 and, before that, was prime minister from 2003 to 2014.  The Turkish-American killed?  While the thug and War Criminal Erdogan is praised, we also get this:

We welcome the White House’s statement of condolences, but given the circumstances of Ayşenur’s killing, an Israeli investigation is not adequate. We call on President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Secretary of State Blinken to order an independent investigation into the unlawful killing of a U.S. citizen and to ensure full accountability for the guilty parties

September 10th, it's time for Socialist (not identified as such) Tariq Ali to serve up 'wisdom' like, " They might have other disagreements, but on the Gaza war, they are completely united, apart from indies, like Jill Stein, who, personally, I would vote for, were I a U.S. citizen, a sort of excellent politician. But apart from her and a few others, there’s no one else in the mainstream who’s come out against this. "

Thank goodness he isn't a US citizen.

The night of September 10th was the debate between Kamala and Chump.

The September 11th show?  Two segments positive on Kamala -- Jean Guerrero on one and Carol Anderson on the other.  Kamala easily beat Trump. But this is DEMOCRACY NOW! so wait for the segment with professional and personal failure Ralph Nader where he attacks Kamala. Then a pro-segment with Amy Littlefield discussing Kamala on abortion rights.

It took her a bit but on September 16th, Amy's found a way to attack Kamala for the debate:

AMY GOODMAN: During the debate, because President Trump made all these kinds of comments, that have led to thousands of memes of ridicule of President Trump talking about eating pets, did you feel that Kamala Harris spoke out enough against the stereotyping, the caricaturing, the vilification of immigrants in that debate?

GUERLINE JOZEF: It is unfortunate, Amy. The reality is we have not seen the support that is needed. At this point, we are in a state where we have one party that is dragging us into the mud, and that is literally creating hate speech that could turns into violence, and we have not received the support that we need from a vice president in the Democratic Party. So we do hope that they do bring more support into pushing back against those false narratives, because at the end of the day, it is part of what we are trying to create, a better world for all people. So, we really would like to see more of support coming from that side, as well.

Chump says it and spreads it, Kamala rejects it but that's not enough for the Haitian who, check ALJZEERA's archives, is not a Kamala supporter.  Of course if she were a Kamala supporter, she wouldn't be on the show.  Isn't it interesting how Amy Goodman feels no need to i.d. guests who are Socialists or who have spoken out already against Kamala?  She just presents them as disinterested parties just calling balls and strikes.

Now it was time for another whiny baby segment attacking Kamala:

AMY GOODMAN: And this is at risk of losing the election. I mean, you have now the Green Party candidate Jill Stein leading Kamala Harris among Muslim voters in three battleground states: Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan.

AMJAD IRAQI: Yeah. And this is the dialectic that the Democratic Party, if it claims to be representative of different kinds of communities in the United States, needs to actually listen to these voters and needs to understand that this is where public opinion is shifting. And if it’s refusing to do that and it’s still maintaining that brick wall between this idea — ideological, strategic, political — of where America needs to stand vis-à-vis Israel, then I’m afraid the Democratic Party is only going to be losing those kind of voters and those kind of communities. And Gaza and Palestine is one major test of that, but it certainly expands to a lot of other avenues.

September 18th, time for a segment questioning Kamala's commitment to abortion rights.  Excerpt:

AMY GOODMAN: I wanted to give Monica Simpson the last word. Cecile Richards had spoken at the DNC. She actually is suffering from brain cancer right now. And in this op-ed piece she just wrote for the Times, her headline, “Harris Is Good on Abortion Rights. Now She Needs to Take It to 11.” Do you agree with this?

MONICA SIMPSON: I do think that we are in a time where we have to not just look at where we are. We have to think about where we want to go, right? And what we have been saying for many, many years is that we know that a federal right to abortion is necessary, but access is even more imperative. And so, when we think about the state of where we are in this country, knowing that we don’t have the federal right, and we were already suffering from lack of access to abortion care, we have to think about this at the next level. How do we make sure that we’re not only creating the opportunities for legislation that creates a federal right to be achieved, but that we are expanding access in all the ways [inaudible] --

Apparently Uncommitted hadn't had the platform for a few days so September 20th saw them back via Lexis Zeidan:

And so, because we were not met in good faith, we had to make the decision to not be able to endorse her. And to be clear, an endorsement is an opportunity for us to do the same thing that we did in Michigan: mobilize our voters. An endorsement means that we are offering something and doing something. And because we were not met in good faith with our policy demands, it is something that we cannot do.
And so, for us, and like I said, an endorsement is meaning that we will mobilize voters to go to the polls and vote for VP Harris. That has to come with policy change. And no policy change came, so it’s a decision we had to make to not endorse her.
Donald Trump, we have to be very clear, is a direct threat to our society, our civil liberties here and Palestinians back home. As he has mentioned, he plans to annex the West Bank. As he has mentioned, that he plans to criminalize organizations here in our own country who are fighting for Palestinian human rights.
And then, to the third point of not recommending a third-party vote, we know that, unfortunately, a third-party vote is not viable in this broken electoral system. And so, inadvertently, a third-party vote would support a Donald Trump victory.

Bad Kamala, they can't endorse her and they won't campaign for her, maybe people will vote for Jill Stein or Chump and they "know that."

They know it because they helped elect Donald Chump.  And Amy helped Uncommitted do that by repeatedly platforming them and lying for them and all the other crap she pulled.  We're not to the worst of it yet.

September 24th, she brought on possibly the worst guest to attack Kamala.  Lina Mounzer declared, "So, it is related to the United States elections, and yet, at the same time, I really cannot see how it’s going to make any difference whether it’s Harris or Trump or Biden in power, frankly, at this stage."

Who is Lina?  Someone who should never be brought on American airwaves by the left.  She's a hate monger and she hated Kamala and she hated the United States.  And that was known before she came on the program and she hasn't tempered her hate since the election.

November 13th, she Tweeted:

No, we are not monsters. Israel is a monster. Israelis are monsters. The US, supplying the weapons, running diplomatic cover, is a monster. Europe, passing its own crime of antisemitism on to dissenters, is a monster. We are the humans watching all these monsters, horrified

And then there's this as well:

From a dear Lebanese friend who lives in the US re: the election results HAVING A HARD TIME FEELING "BAD" FOR AMERICAN "RIGHTS".   GENOCIDE AND BOMBING MY LOVED ONES KINDA THE RED LINE OF RME.  WILL FEEL THIS SAME WAY FROM HOME OR AN INTERNMENT CAMP.  DON'T CARE

This kind of hate monger doesn't deserve a platform.  She deserves to be banned.  But Amy Goodman brought her on to her show -- no NPR stations still air her garbage do they -- and presented as an unbiased expert on something.  Do you think most listeners would have taken her seriously if they  knew what she was truly like?  And do you think we should take Amy seriously the next time she pretends to be outraged about something a cable person said about Mehdi Hasan?  To be clear, I defend Mehdi.  But if you're exploding over what very awful thing was said to Mehdi and implied about him on CNN, then you damn well better also be appalled by Lina.

Amy wasn't appalled, remember, she platformed Lina.

September 25th?  We covered that in real time:

Jill Stein, the endless joke.  Yesterday, she went on DEMOCRACY NOW!  and got the same damn pass that they give her every time she runs for president. Let's note one paragraph above from Ava and my piece:

Mehdi's interview and Angela's the week before really just underscored what a lazy and incompetent media we have in the US.  Third time.  This is Jill Stein's third time running for president and it's the first time she's ever been challenged in an interview.  For her two previous campaigns, the media has treated her like a child with a terminal disease in a Make A Wish program whose dream was to run for president. She has gotten one pass after another.

And it has been media malpractice.  Jill has always had a home on DEMOCRACY NOW! and it's always been a safe space.

Bill Clinton calls in to get out the vote and Amy Goodman can be just as tough as Mehdi Hassan or Angela Rye then.

But Amy and Juan Gonzalez both failed at journalism yesterday.

There are celebrity talk shows that are harder hitting then the garbage DEMOCRACY NOW! served up.

It was so embarrassing, and if we had more time I'd quote from Susan Faludi's BACKLASH.  But what we saw was disgusting and was not journalism.  I try to not to call out Juan.  I have great respect for him.  But that interview was awful.

There were no follow ups.  Jill just got to throw our her usual bulls**t remarks.

Yes, Juan, you did say, "And, Dr. Stein, I wanted to follow up. You were talking earlier about Gaza. This month, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, CAIR, published a poll that shows you are ahead of Kamala Harris among Muslim voters in key swing states, like Michigan, Arizona and Wisconsin. But yet the National Uncommitted Movement, which decided not to endorse any of the two major-party candidates, also decided not to endorse any third-party candidates. I’m wondering your response."

That's not a follow up.

Juan, you know that's not a follow up.

You could get away with calling it "a related question," but you know journalism and you know that's not a follow up question.

A follow up question would have taken her answer and probed it.  This was her answer to Amy Goodman's question (what's the most important question), not to Juan's.  He had asked her about immigration when he elected to revisit Gaza by way of one poll.  We'll come back to that garbage in a moment.  Here's Jill on the most important question:

Well, let’s put it this way. The American people are in crisis in virtually every dimension of our lives, whether it’s the healthcare crisis and not being able to afford your pharmaceuticals. Some 8 million Americans are not able to afford their medications. Eighteen million were driven into poverty by the costs of healthcare in the last year for which data was available. Half of all Americans are struggling to keep a roof over their heads, severely economically stressed, trying to just pay their rent. And we are spending half of our congressional dollars on the endless war machine, of which the — this genocidal war against Gaza is one example that the American people vehemently object to.

Great, Jill, you offered a diagnosis.  You didn't, however, offer any solutions.  You didn't even offer a minimum plan.

In the real world -- Amy and Juan, pay attention -- people are expected to answer questions and you failed your audience by refusing to demand answers.

Let's continue with Jill's pie-in-the-sky remarks which she pretends are plans to address real problems.

The American people are calling for other options. You know, who is anyone to say they should be denied and that the two zombie political parties, that have so poorly served the American public, are the only options? You know, democracy is about competition. The American people are begging for other options. They are entitled to know who those options are.

Democracy is about competition?  What is that, Jill's neocon notion of free-market democracy?

The reality that -- again -- she's yet to offer a plan.  Again to crazy Stein:

It speaks volumes that the Democrats are pulling out all the stops, including fraudulent impersonations of the Green Party, hiring infiltrators and spies, which they have publicly advertised for, and hiring an army of lawyers, in their own words, to basically throw their competitors off the ballot, quite simply because they are terrified of actually meeting us in the court of public opinion and having a real debate about the crises that the American people face and the real solutions that we alone are putting on the table, from Medicare for All to free public higher education to rent control across the country to 15 million units of so-called social housing, which would meet our housing needs, cutting the military budget, and, above all, ending the genocidal war on Gaza right now, which the American people overwhelmingly support — a near supermajority, actually, supports a weapons embargo right now.

A lot of words to say nothing at all.

And, Amy and Juan, when you allow her to list all of these supposed crimes, you then have to ask her to back up her accusations.  You didn't do that, did you?

No, you just gave crazy a microphone and let her spew her nonsense.

First question should have been: Who are these fraudulent impersonators you refer to?

Second question should have been: Exactly what help are you getting from the Republican Party?  They got signatures for you to get on the ballot, they're providing pro bono legal work?  What would be the financial estimate for what the GOP is providing you with in terms of cash donations and in-kind donations?

Third question should have been: Do you not believe that an attempted coup took place January 6, 2021?  If you do not believe that, what would you call it; and, if you do believe it, how do you square taking free legal help from attorneys who defended insurrectionists?

Fourth question: The Green Party doesn't believe in accepting money from PACs.  How do you square that with the contributions you get from the Republicans?

Stein then said:

And with Israel expanding this war, not only into the West Bank, but also now into Lebanon, this is extremely, extraordinarily dangerous. And when we hear the Biden-Harris administration say that, oh, there’s nothing they can do, their hands are tied, that’s absolutely false. They can do like Ronald Reagan and simply make a phone call and instruct Israel that this genocidal assault is over.

It's not the 1980s, Jill.  And is that your plan for Gaza?  To make a call and say the genocide assault is over?

Because that might fool your cult members but the reality is that's not ending anything.  The assault on Palestinians might switch to some form of low-grade assault for a month, maybe even a year.  But it won't stop the violence against Palestinians.  Nor would such a phone call address the very real issue of the apartheid system Palestinians are forced to live under.

Jill and her little buddy get no hard questions and don't have to provide proof for any of their claims.  Amy Goodman calls that journalism.  27 minutes and 16 seconds of fawning.

September 30th, Trita Parsi is back to attack Kamala (and Joe).

At last, we're too October.

October 2nd, idiot Akbar Shahid Ahmed is brought on.  Not only is he there to whine and slam Kamala, he demonstrates his high level of stupidity with this comment: "Yeah. I think the closest person to President Biden on these matters is someone called Brett McGurk. This is the White House Middle East coordinator. He’s not a well-known figure in the way that, say, Secretary of State Tony Blinken is, but he is someone who in many ways is emblematic of U.S. foreign policy thinking in the Middle East over the last 20 years — right? — which many folks would say is a pretty dubious record. "

Akbar needs to shut up when he doesn't know what he's talking about.  He'll continue yammering on to connect McGurk to Bully Boy Bush while sidestepping Barack Obama.  McGurk is well known and became even more well known when Barack nominated the man to be Ambassador to Iraq. That nomination was shut down by Democratic senators.  It was shut down because of a scandal.

ambassador to swingtown

From June 10, 2012,  Isaiah's THE WORLD TODAY JUST NUTS  "The Ambassador to Swingtown"

Nominee for US Ambassador to Iraq Brett McGurk insists, "If confirmed as ambassador, both my assistant Hugh Hefner and myself will address Iraq's most pressing problem.  Blue balls."  A woman parts the beads to ask, "Brett, baby, can we all fit on the water bed?"  Isaiah archives his comics at The World Today Just Nuts.

The first of many comics Isaiah did about Brett.  Married Brett was in Iraq sleeping with married reporter Gina Chon.  This affair came out after the nomination and Gina got fired by THE WALL STREET JOURNAL.  Brett didn't get the post because any Iraqi woman walking into the Baghdad US Embassy would be seen as a harlot due to Brett's reputation.

Don't you love how any idiot can be turned into an expert by Amy GoodyWhore and DEMOCRACY NOW!?

October 2nd was their praise week for Tim Walz -- he should have been slammed for his horrible performance at the debate; however, they love 'progressive' Tim.  Remember, DSA claimed him as one of their own which is why the only positive piece THE PROGRESSIVE wrote about Kamala's campaign was about Tim and it's why COMMON DREAMS couldn't stop praising Tim daily while tearing Kamala apart.

Same episode, Amy managed to slip into one segment "Shiva Rajbhandari, a student climate justice organizer at UNC-Chapel Hill, spokesperson for the Sunrise Movement, which is not officially endorsing Harris, citing a lack of a detailed climate agenda,"  Then we got a bimbo with THE NATION praising Tim for his abortion stance but not noting top of the ticket Kamala.

And, again, Tim lost the debate.  They tried to pretend otherwise but he looked ridiculous onstage and failed to draw even one drop of blood from JD Vance.

October 8th, Ta-Nehisi Coates brings up Kamala for no reason:

But one of the arguments that I make in The Message is that there’s an entire architecture outside of the world of mean politics that determines how politicians actually talk, the choices they give, you know, etc. Why does Kamala Harris feel the need, for instance, to say that she has a gun? What is that actually based on? And I would say it is based on archetypes of femininity. I would say it’s based on archetypes of race, archetypes of the cowboy. And where do those archetypes come from? They come from our art. They come from our literature. They come from our film, our TVs, our commercials. And at their base, they ultimately come from writing, because somebody has to write those ultimately. And in that world, things that seem separated from politics never really are. And so, I wanted to start that book — or, this book, The Message, with that Orwell quote, because that’s like one of the things he kind of is obsessing with in that essay.

Is that why Tim brings it up to Ta-Nehisi or are you just being a sexist pig?  We'll wait for your answer as you pretend that every Democrat doesn't do the same thing to win over the gun vote..

In the second segment that day with Ta-Nehisi, Amy attacks Kamala at length and lamented that fat girl Ruwa Romman was not allowed to speak at the DNC.  Wah wah!  It was October, remember, and Amy's still bitching about the August DNC convention.

October 16th, Goodman brought on liar  Abbas Alawieh. He is co-founder of the Uncommitted who was there to insult Kamala though he did say to vote for her and hold her accountable.  And we got to hear from the nobody Marisa Franco who wanted to slam Kamala on immigration.   In a contrast and compare with Chump, Franco's able to slam Kamala. Franco is a Socialist and, again, that's not noted on the program.

October 17th, Josh Paul was brought on to attack Kamala on Gaza -- the same as Biden.

October 18th, Gideon Levy was brought on to attack Kamala over Gaza -- Biden had made a statement and Gideon used it to imply that Kamala was a liar.

October 22nd, Goodman spoke to Naomi Klein who 'endorsed' Kamala:  She insulted Kamala and she's a Socialist and she shouldn't be voting in US elections.  I have long called out dual citizenship and I certainly don't think that if your father deserts the US military and moves to Canada and, years later, you're born in Canada that you get to claim you're an American citizen.  Naomi does that.  The day her father steps on American soil is the day he's arrested.

I have no problem with War Resisters.  I have a huge problem with dual and triple citizenship.  We addressed Naomi at length -- including her issues of racism.  Click here, I'm not in the mood to quote it. Also see Betty's "Open letter to Naomi Klein."

But here's Naomi's 'endorsement' of Kamala:

So, I think it -- you know, I am not a fan of Harris’s campaign, the choices she’s made. I think she’s running an extremely high-risk, dangerous campaign, because she is trying to win without the base. And she’s sending a message to that base that, “Sorry, you know, I’m more interested in Liz Cheney and Dick Cheney and getting Republicans than I am interested in listening to Palestinians, to Muslims, to Arabs, to the left generally, to the antiwar forces.” She’s told us we’re irrelevant, and Trump is telling us that he’s going to round us up. So, nobody would want this election, but we have got to be smart.

October 24th, Goodman brought on "Ahmed Ghanim, a prominent Muslim leader and former Democratic candidate for Congress" -- a loser who had already announced that he was going to disrupt Kamala's rally and was removed from Kamala's rally.  It was time for Goodman to present a failed "Democrat" as a victim and for him to unleash an attack on Kamala.

October 28th featured a segment where Amy and "Iranian American policy analyst Trita Parsi" trashed Kamala over Gaza.

October 29th, Goodman proved exactly what a piece of garbage she was.  She did three segments on Madison Garden's hate fest and never managed to find a person who could speak positively about Kamala but did manage to air all the attacks the GOP spewed at her.  Now that day's show ended with a segment on the owner of THE LOS ANGELES TIMES killing an endorsement of Kamala and the owner of THE WASHINGTON POST doing the same.

Think about that.  The paper's owner has killed the endorsement.  Your two guests are "editorials editor Mariel Garza, who quit when the paper killed the endorsement of Harris, and veteran Washington Post reporter David Hoffman, who stepped down from the paper’s editorial board in response."

As a journalist, what is the basic question you are required to ask?

It's: What did the editorials state?

Right?  They've been censored.  It's been established -- for days before this segment -- that  they were censored.

But Amy didn't ask that question, did she?  No, Gaza Goodman turned the segment into another attempt to attack Kamala:

AMY GOODMAN: Mariel, I wanted to get your response to the daughter of the L.A. Times owner. On Saturday, Los Angeles Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong’s daughter Nika Soon-Shiong posted a message online suggesting that her father’s decision was linked to Kamala Harris’s support for Israel’s war on Gaza. Nika wrote, quote, “Our family made the joint decision not to endorse a Presidential candidate. This was the first and only time I have been involved in the process. As a citizen of a country openly financing genocide, and as a family that experienced South African Apartheid, the endorsement was an opportunity to repudiate justifications for the widespread targeting of journalists and ongoing war on children,” she wrote. Her father, Patrick Soon-Shiong, later disputed her claim, saying that she has no role at the Los Angeles Times. Mariel Garza, your response?

MARIEL GARZA: Look, I really don’t know what to say, because I have — that was — if that was the case, it was never communicated to us. I do not know what goes on in the conversation in the Soon-Shiong household. I know that she is not — she does not participate in deliberations of the editorial board, as far as I know. I’ve never spoken to her. We all know how she feels about Gaza, because she’s a prolific tweeter. So, I really can’t say. And this is part of the bigger problem, is we were never given a reason for why we were being silent. If there was a reason — say it was Israel — we could have explained that to readers. Instead, we remain silent. And that’s — I mean, this is not a time in American history where anybody can remain silent or neutral.

Amy brought in gossip.  Brought in gossip to attack Kamala yet again.  And, hate to break it to Mariel Garza, but she herself remained silent and neutral by not making the argument in the unpublished editorial -- the argument that people should vote for Kamala.

October 30th, Amy brought on Marc Lamont Hill to discuss Kamala -- MLH who stated, "She didn’t talk about, for example, what’s going on in Lebanon. She didn’t talk about what’s going on in Gaza. And the reason she didn’t talk about that is because she can’t make a credible case in that area for how she’s any different than Donald Trump. I disagree very strongly with Senator Bernie Sanders, who says, “Even on Gaza, Trump is worse."

If you're confused by this nonsense, let's point out that MLH is an employee of ALJAZEERA so let's assume he just had to toe the party line -- and betray America.  We no longer note MLH.  We will never note him again.  We dropped him before October 30th when he began using his YOUTUBE program to promote . . . Jill Stein.

October 31st, six days before the election, Amy Goodman finally found someone who was voting for Kamala. Bishop William Barber.  At last someone who was going to vote for Kamala.  And on the same day?  Nina Turner -- so-called "Democrat" but mainly a professional failure -- explained she was not endorsing anyone.

The election was going to be close.  We all knew it.  We all knew that turnout was the key.

And then we got the 'left' media spending every day attacking Kamala.  Spending every day saying she was no different than Trump, no better than Trump, worse then Trump.

Day after day they ripped her apart.  They destroyed enthusiasm.

To do this, they had to lie repeatedly.  They had to bring on Socialists and pass them off as Democrats.  Do you know how we would howl if CNN brought on Republicans and let them attack Democrats without CNN ever identifying the people as Republicans?

There's nothing wrong with Socialists.  There's nothing wrong with Democrats.  But the two are not the same.  They have some overlap but they are not the same.

And to let a Socialist set the standards for a Democratic Party candidate is putting a finger on the scale.

Amy Goodman knew what she was doing.  She planned out her own guests.  She betrayed the country for hew own sick f**k politics.

Stephanie Miller had a segment recently with Malcolm Nance and Malcolm was talking about the need for a left media and a need for this and that and, you know, more power to him.  But it doesn't make a damn bit of difference how many programs or sites there are if you are not holding people accountable.  The actions of DEMOCRACY NOW!, THE NATION, THE PROGESSIVE, COMMON DREAMS and so many others helped elect Chump.  If we aren't going to call that out, we don't need to be online.

It is amazing that a close election like this one in 2024 has seen the media at large and White YOUTUBERS address everything except the rank racism and sexism that targeted Kamala and that too often came from within our own ranks.  You call these people out or you admit you're a useless coward.  I'm not in the mood to play.  We're going to be living through four awful years and it's because of people who pretend to be on our side.  If you let them get away with it now, know that they'll keep lying and they'll keep cheating.  That's where the problem is with our Democratic Party -- we don't have the spines to stand up for ourselves and tell the Amy Goodmans to cut their s**t out.

[Note: As usual, I stayed up all night to do my year-in-review piece.  I can't see right now, it's all too blurry.  If you see a mistake, e-mail common_ills@yahoo.com and I'll try to get it fixed this evening.]

    Ruth's Media Report 2024

Ruth: 2024 is dying and the new year offers four years of Convicted Felon Donald Chump.  So forgive me if I am not my positive self that I usually try to be in these yearly's reports.

MEIDASTOUCH NEWS?  One reason to be hopeful.  Incredibly popular and doing great work.  I also admire TABITHA SPEAKS and her ethical stance.

But mainly, I look out and I see two groups.

    One?

Grifters.  Cheap liars like Jimmy Dore, Katie Halper, Aaron Mate, and the rest.

    The second group?

    Cowards.

Vice President Kamala Harris should be sworn in this month as President of the United States.  Sadly for the entire world, that is not going to happen.  And one of the reasons for that is a segment of the left that lied, tricked, whored, and deceived.  They misled their audience over and over.

And yet I see C.I. calling it out -- and I have read the first part of her year-in-review, she is hitting hard again -- but no one else seems able to.

    I see a lot of useless YOUTUBE-ing.

THE NATION, DEMOCRACY NOW!, THE PROGRESSIVE, COMMON DREAMS, and so many more worked overtime on tanking the election, on depressing turnout.  They lied and they whored and they tricked and they deceived.

Yet for some reason, YOUTUBERS -- all of whom swear that they speak the God's truth and are nothing but truth tellers who make the tough calls -- refuse to call these outlets out.

    Are you chicken?

Because you come off like cowards while you pat yourself on the backs for the very minor things that you do.

President John F. Kennedy was murdered when I was a college freshman.  I have seen a ton of elections.  None ever mattered as much as the one last November.  Not only did we have a worthy candidate in Vice President Harris, we also knew how awful her opponent was and how he would stop at nothing to destroy the country.  Yet instead of pulling together, we saw our so-called 'independent' media work to destroy Ms. Harris day after day.

    I am not hopeful.

Not with the planned attacks on immigration, not with the attacks on history and science, not with the plans to further restrict reproductive rights, not with the threats that the Convicted Felon cannot stop making.

I pray we survived the next four years.  But, even if we do, I will never forget who lied and whored to put Donald Chump back into the White House.

Again, applause for MEIDASTOUCH NEWS, for TABITHA SPEAKS, for RAW STORY, for OLAY AND FRIENDS, and, honestly, that is really it for me.  I have seen way too many liars and way too much nonsense.  I hope the laughs were worth it for those of you who wasted our time -- THE HUMANIST REPORT -- I really do.  I hope your giggles will still seem worth it as we watch people be rounded up and families torn apart.
