South African Elon Musk is still at war with MAGA and they with him. Maybe they'll pay attention to some details about him now instead of, as they have in the past, blindly embracing while dry humping him? Tom Boggioni (RAW STORY) reports:
Following up on a high-profile opinion piece he wrote for the New York Times calling billionaire Elon Musk a "national security risk," retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré wondered aloud on MSNBC how the U.S. government allowed itself to be put at the mercy of the billionaire.
With Musk now having the ear of president-elect Donald Trump, Honoré claimed the danger to America from within has reached a new level.
Speaking with "The Weekend" co-host Michael Steele, the man who was widely praised for his leadership in coordinating military relief efforts in gulf states after Hurricane Katrina, listed off the government's overly extensive reliance on the controversial wealthiest man in the world.
"Elon Musk has already shown us in the Ukraine
situation, he is not unconcerned about using that leverage to his
advantage against the interests of an ally of the United States, and
getting concessions, and getting whatever he thinks that he needs in
that scenario. How dangerous is that aspect of this?" host Steele
prompted his guest.
"Well, right now, we never want to get into a
single source of intelligence, a single source of communication," the
retired general replied. "I don't know how we got into this mess
contracting with one contractor, SpaceX, doing rockets for us as well as
controlling communications."
Will Neal (THE DAILY BEAST) adds:
Honoré then added, “I don’t know how the US government… We’ve got the National Reconnaissance Office, we got Space Command, we got NASA… How in the hell people in Washington have subjugated our intelligence and our communications to a private company, why the hell did we do that?”
Honoré concluded by warning the threat is only “going to get worse,” having previously alluded to the national security risk posed by Musk’s alleged communications with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
As he said earlier in his interview, “I guess this might be the only time I agree with Steve Bannon, [even] he’s questioned Musk’s connections with foreign leaders.”
Bannon? Jason Lemon (NEWSWEEK) notes:
Prominent right-wing podcaster Steve Bannon took aim at billionaire Elon Musk, saying the world's wealthiest man has "masters in Beijing" during a Saturday episode of his WarRoom podcast.
[. . .]
Bannon, who served as the CEO of Donald Trump's 2016 campaign as well as a White House adviser in his former administration, and Musk, who donated over a quarter billion dollars to help get the president-elect across the finish line in 2024, are two of the Republican leader's top allies. However, Bannon has long been critical of Musk, and routinely criticized his business ties to China.
President-elect Elon Musk has also angered German Chancellor Olaf Scholz who, following Elon's nuzzling the crotch of the far-right Nazi party Alternative for Germany, advised Germans to just ignore Elon ("don't feed the troll"). Meanwhile, on the civil war in the US, Flavio Hickel tells AFP, "I think this most recent war of words between traditional MAGA and big-tech MAGA was an opening salvo in a long-running battle over the future of the MAGA movement."
First Lady Donald Trump, busy selecting his inauguration gown, had no comment at present. But will there be an inauguration? January 10th, Chump gets sentenced in New York City for his felony convictions and is weighing whether or not to wear a fitted shift dress with Peter Pan collar paired with knee high boots. Can he pull it off? Can he bring the Jean Shrimpton look back and drag it into the 21st century?
While Chump frets over his outfits and bemoans the fact that Bob Mackie won't return his calls, MAGA Fat Barbie Marjorie Taylor Greene is in the news. Rey Harris (TAG 24 NEWS) explains, "MAGA Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene recently suggested January 6 be made into a national holiday, as MAGA Republicans seek to change the narrative surrounding the Capitol riots." Why not just name it a religious holiday? Didn't it re-virginate Marjorie who, in all the insurrection excitement, couldn't stop scratching down there resulting in a huge scab forming over her introitus?
In other news,
At TALKING POINTS MEMO, Josh Marshall notes that the media appears to be intentionally overlooking Cybertruck Bomber Matthew Livelsberger's writings:
Those documents denounce Democrats and demand they be “culled” from Washington, by violence if necessary, and express the hope that his own death will serve as a kind of bell clap for a national rebirth of masculinity under the leadership of Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Bobby Kennedy Jr.
Did you miss that stuff?
Yeah, me too!
Most headlines I’d seen in the news report only that he warned of national decline and bore “no ill will toward Mr. Trump,” in the words of one of the investigators. That gloss on Donald Trump is, shall we say, a bit of an understatement, as you can see in these excerpts.
Military and vets move on DC starting now. Militias facilitate and augment this activity.
Occupy every major road along fed buildings and the campus of fed buildings by the hundreds of thousands.
Lock the highways around down with semis right after everybody gets in. Hold until the purge is complete.
Try peaceful means first, but be prepared to fight to get the Dems out of the fed government and military by any means necessary. They all must go and a hard reset must occur for our country to avoid collapse.
We must end the war in Ukraine with negotiated settlement. It is the only way.
Focus on strength and winning. Masculinity is good and men must be leaders. Strength is a deterrent and fear is the product.
Stop obsessing over diversity. We are all diverse and DEI is a cancer.
Thankfully we rejected the DEI candidate and will have a real President instead of Weekend at Bernie’s.
Consider this last sunset of ‘24 and my actions the end of our sickness and a new chapter of health for our people. Rally around the Trump, Musk, Kennedy, and ride this wave to the highest hegemony for all Americans! We are second to no one.
I encourage you to read the two minifestos all the way through. They’re not long. I excerpted at least half above. You can find them here.
We may come back to this, we may not. Josh is missing a connection or two. We stopped the excerpt for that reason. I'm not slamming him for it. I would hope most people didn't have to descend into the sewer. When someone dropped me off a zip drive that was supposedly Glenn Greenwald's browsing history (I believe it was), I went over that garbage. I don't want to come back to this story next week, so let me just note one thing here. Josh mentions obesity: "He also rails against the 1%, excessive screen time for kids, wars with no clear strategic purpose, obesity."
That sentence, Josh doesn't appear to grasp that those are MAGA issues. That tiny little MAGA men have spent time on all of those and done so on Twitter. In terms of obesity, they've impotent MAGA males have raged against women that they accuse of letting themselves go fat after marriage. It's the worst thing that can't happen to some MAGA males! The little jerks are usually talking about a woman who gave birth less than a year ago. But they're hateful, tiny nubbed losers so they rail against women.
Josh is right to wonder why the media doesn't want to explore the reality of the psycho who blew a truck outside a hotel.
Let's wind down. Daniel Hampton (RAW STORY) rightly applauds Liz Cheney who responded to Chump's latest attack on her with the following:
Donald, this is not the Soviet Union. You can’t change the truth and you cannot silence us. Remember all your lies about the voting machines, the election workers, your countless allegations of fraud that never happened? Many of your lawyers have been sanctioned, disciplined or disbarred, the courts ruled against you, and dozens of your own White House, administration, and campaign aides testified against you. Remember how you sent a mob to our Capitol and then watched the violence on television and refused for hours to instruct the mob to leave? Remember how your former Vice President prevented you from overturning our Republic? We remember.
Good for Liz. Joe Biden made a good selection with the 20 citizens he awarded the Presidential Citizen Medal on Thursday. Rebecca's "the oklahoma trash behind 'i've had it' podcast" notes I'VE HAD IT. She rightly calls them out. We will not be noting I'VE HAD IT HERE anymore. I even noted that on BLUESKY when Rebecca called me about the segment they did whining about Liz Cheney and attacking Liz Cheney.
I assume it was honest, what they really think. We don't need that garbage here. The 2024 election was very important and it was about saving our country. Liz chose the right side and spoke out. She didn't have to. If you missed it, Condi Rice and Bully Boy Bush were both against Chump and they were pressured to say that publicly. They didn't. Because they're cowards. Liz spoke up and I'm never agree with her on policies but I'm not going to pretend that, on democracy, we were in agreement.
I don't know what two White bimbos hosting a podcast think they accomplish with that sort of garbage. With all that's going on -- all that's going wrong -- in their state, it's surprising that the two Karens had time to attack Liz. But then they always make time for the frivilous nonsense. Which is why no longer noting them here won't be a loss to anyone.
