The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (2003) details the attempted coup in Venezuela that briefly unseated President Hugo Chavez. The coup, welcomed by Washington as a 'step forward for democracy in Venezuela' failed as both people and military rallied around him. US officers flew to the island where Chavez was 'disappeared' immediately after the coup; the second meeting the coup planners had was with the corporate media of Venezuela. Should be fascinating.
