Let us never forget. Let's choose hope over despair. Remember the victims at home & Iraq. Let us continue to pray.
Well said, Rev Jackson.
And of course the victims of 9/11 also include the victims of the September 11, 1973 CIA-sponsored coup d'etat in Chile -- the ones who died in that coup and the ones who were tortured and died for years later because the US government installed the tyrant and War Criminal Augusto Pinochet.
The victims of violence are many and worldwide.
It always shocks me to see so many 'caring' Americans outraged -- simply outraged, you understand -- by guns in the US.
Yet they never seem as outraged by the violence carried out by governments -- including by our own government, the United States.
Guns kill?
No more than governments.
No more than governments.
- In 4 months, 12-13m Iraqi people could be in need of assistance - @OCHAIraq http://bit.ly/2c5lbxp
That would be approximately one third of Iraq's estimated population.
And this sort of announcement didn't just get Tweeted today.
The crisis didn't just start today. But no one wants to address that.
If it can't be rendered simplistic, it's just too much for so many.
