The children of US troops who fought in Iraq are now fighting in Iraq.
Susannah George (AP) reports:
Thirteen years ago, Chase Snow’s father was among the American troops who moved into the Iraqi city of Mosul during the U.S.-led invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein. Now Snow, a U.S. Army specialist, is deployed in Iraq to help in the fight to retake the city from the Islamic State group.
Meanwhile ALJAZEERA reports, "Iraqi officials say three bomb attacks have killed 10 people and wounded at least 37 across the Iraqi capital." And REUTERS notes, "At least ten people, including four policemen, were killed by a suicide bomber in a car that targeted a checkpoint in northern Iraq on Sunday, police and medical sources said."
No, the Iraq War has not ended.
But it was barely mentioned in the debate tonight (Afghanistan wasn't mentioned at all).
At tonight's debate, Hillary Clinton claimed, "Right now, a lot of those nations are hearing what Donald says and wondering, why should we cooperate with the Americans? And this is a gift to ISIS and the terrorists, violent jihadist terrorists."
She called Donald Trump a gift to the Islamic State.
Is that how Iraqis see him?
There's a Twitter account to a Shi'ite Iraqi that we've noted only twice. I don't care for the feed.
But the person is probably the most anti-Islamic State Iraqi on Twitter.

Haidar Sumeri Again, this is the most anti-Islamic State Shi'ite in Iraq with a Twitter account.
He wasn't impressed with Hillary at all.
