There should be a new psychiatric disorder for people who are still obsessively angry at Susan Sarandon
Agreed.
And if Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon both were abducted by aliens tonight, Debra would be the one whose career was one flop after another outside of WILL & GRACE. I love Grace, it's a pity Debra's demonstrating she's nothing like that character. And Susan? She'd be remembered as an actress with multiple awards and nominations, someone who starred in a diverse variety of classic films including THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, THELMA & LOUISE, THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK, BULL DURHAM, ATLANTIC CITY, WHITE PALACE, ENCHANTED, LORENZO'S OIL, DEAD MAN WALKING, THE MEDDLER . . .
Again, Debra would be remembered for playing Grace.
We can't take that from her, we just can't credit her with anything else.
Susan triumphed in her profession and, to keep paying the bills, Debra had to return to playing Grace. Not everyone can triumph and, certainly, being a working actress is its own sort of tiny victory.
Now in terms of activism?
Debra (and her assistant) type Tweets constantly and that's so important because it . . . Well, it's something, at least. It's not like Debra's done anything.
She certainly didn't protest the Iraq War. Susan did. Susan protested and suffered for it. She took a stand that mattered. I think Debra, at that time, was nursing a snit fit about Grace being the butt of jokes and throwing a tantrum to get her character a better wardrobe. But, hey, a wardrobe is important, right?
Certainly as important as protesting a war, right?
No, it's not. Debra Messing 'activist' actions are pathetic and mundane. She's never stood for anything and she had no education to fall back on. Ask Alec Baldwin, he'll tell you she's a political stooge because she doesn't know anything about politics -- political theory, you name it. (But Alec and I were poli sci majors. And we love to laugh at the idiots who don't know a damn thing and grab on to any bumper sticker slogan or bit of astroturf.) Oh, I'm sorry, Debra, am I talking out of school. The gun's still loaded, Debra, I have much more I could say. Stuff you don't want said in public. So -- for now -- I'll just close my mouth and note some others.

Remember when Debra Messing got arrested protesting Trump & his inhumane caging of children? While Susan Sarandon used her celebrity power to do nothing but tweet & preach to the choir? Oh, wait, i got that backwards. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44657362 …

The “Trump era has inspired more women to run for office” take has been absolutely ubiquitous but, strangely, no one lost their s**t over it until Susan Sarandon said it
Debra Messing needs to sit her tired ass down. Her appeal -- such as it is -- only works if she seems sweet and perky. I can tell stories, Debra, really ugly stories about you. A ton of them. Grace is a wonderful character but you're not Grace, you're Debra Messing and America is not going to like Debra Messing. Grasp that, Debra, before it gets worse. It's time to sit your tired ass down.
