Some Tweets from Ajamu Baraka

  • What??? New poll says more democrats support U.S. war policies than republicans? I guess we shouldn't be surprised after eight years of war under Obama and two years of liberal corporate media pushing war and U.S. imperialism.
  • Now Macron, Obama's friend intents to respond in the same way that the Obama ultimately responded to occupy movement - with massive repression. The neoliberal right represented by Obama/Clinton and Macron cannot be allowed to escape our critical judgement as enemies of the people
  • Lets not be confused. The opposition to neoliberalism in France is not new in Western world. The occupy movement that was smashed by Obama & democrats through ideological co-optation & repression pointed the way toward the Gilets Jaunes!
  • One reason why the democrat party green new deal is brilliant is because it is essentially a pro-capitalist, neoliberal program.
  • I guess when you steal a continent from the indigenous people, enslave Africans to generate wealth and then pretend like it never happen. I guess stealing an idea & platform and pretending like it is original is easy.
  • When you think for yourself you can make progress. Democrats warned when Jill and I ran with the Green New Deal being the core of our platform that it was unrealistic and, therefore, not worth supporting. Now that democrats are supporting idea it is now brilliant! Sad
  • Another situation in which the U.S. is responsible for undermining democracy.
  • Interesting interview with one of thee few journalists in the corporate media with the integrity to call out the pro-war bias of media.
  • BAP supports CODEPINK's campaign to divest from companies profiting from the death and destruction of U.S. war machine. So is passing a law against these efforts next? If the people are denied right to non-violently resist tyranny in Israel or anywhere else, what is next?
  • What will it take for U.S. public to understand there is no democracy in the U.S. & certainly no morality? In the midst of a government shutdown this is first piece of legislation? And we are told Trump represents a moral departure from U.S. values! Ha
  • Oh so you didn't know Green Party had a position supporting reparations? I wonder why? I guess the Russians missed that one to exploit.
  • Democrat party "liberal-left" continues to "borrow" from Green Party platform Jill and I ran on in 2016, a platform that they claimed at the time was unrealistic. But beyond not embracing anti-militarism, there is one other issue we won't see them adopting from GP - reparations!
  • For liberals I guess this is something we should be celebrating but for the vast majority of the people on the receiving end of U.S. bombs, bullets and general mayhem, the "identity" of these criminals don't matter.
  • Perhaps the best thing for the world would be for Trump to threaten war in various places. That might generate some opposition from liberals and corporate media - but I doubt it since military aggression defines bipartisanism today.
  • A principled journalist ( a rarity today) who could no longer take the mindless pro-war advocacy of NBC and the corporate media.
  • And the Sanders "progressives" are running on the Green Party and Stein/Baraka platform minus the opposition to militarism and war - I guess we weren't suppose to notice that!
  • Interesting to watch how liberal corporate press - the real manipulators of democracy - present & frame opportunist democrats for the next round of "selections." Narrow - minded visionless hacks like Biden, Harris & Booker are transformed into thinkers with actual ideas.
  • The Obama administration justified a war on Syria for less human death than here, and can you imagine if this was the Russians. The moral hypocrisy of the West and the U.S. in particular is incredible.
  • You have seen the positions the Black Alliance for Peace takes & you know the work we are involved in like campaign to shut down the U.S. Africa Command & closing down NATO. If you support our independent, grassroots orientation please support us today:
  • Sanders and his liberal democrat party friends are undermining the movement toward improved Medicare for All that a majority of the people support. Demand that the bill supported for years by John Conyers remains the foundational text for the movement.
  • For your listening pleasure on Christmas eve:
