Twenty years later, our hearts are still with the #Columbine community. Now, as mass shootings have become an almost-everyday occurrence in America, we cannot lose our sense of outrage. We must stand up to the NRA and end our gun violence epidemic.
The trade union movement is the last line of defense against a corporate agenda that not only wants tax breaks for billionaires but wants to privatize Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. We must strengthen unions and bargaining rights of workers everywhere.
Medicare for all. College for all. A Green New Deal. Real criminal justice and immigration reform. A $15 minimum wage. These are no longer radical ideas. Our movement is stronger than ever and together we will turn those ideas into reality.
Corporate and political elites consolidate more and more wealth while the middle class shrinks, then spend millions to elect right-wing politicians and pass policies that will protect their power and slash their taxes.
That is what we're up against and why we fight for justice.
When we are in the White House we will attack the problem of gentrification and rising rents in America. We need a massive effort to build the affordable housing this country desperately needs, and that's an effort I intend to lead.

We must recognize climate change for what it is: an international crisis that threatens humanity.
We must also see this moment as an opportunity: we can create millions of jobs and revitalize our economy by passing a Green New Deal.

The CEO of GM made $21 million in compensation last year—281 times what their average worker makes. GM pays nothing in federal income taxes.
Meanwhile, GM is closing two Michigan plants and outsourcing American jobs.
