I told the NY Times that “my principles don’t change with the job I’m in” and I think that’s proven to be true over the last 20 yrs. It hasn’t been a perfect career — but I’ve tried hard to live my values. Thanks to everyone for the support. Onward.

Biden's use of "adjustments" to Social Security =
-the retirement age
-COLAs
- means-testing benefits.
Bernie's use of "adjustments" to Social Security =
- COLAs
- taxes on the wealthiest Americans
- benefits
Same = The exact opposite.

Wait, so Democrats are calling for unity while @PaulBegala is on the board of an organization that is going on air to attack the Democratic front-runner, while Begala also appears on CNN to do political punditry. What is this? https://twitter.com/llerer/status/1222288770558582785 …
We see a spasm of frantic & desperate attacks on @BernieSanders. These attacks seem disparate, but what ties the various criticisms together is that they are all sponsored/amplified by zillionaires & corporations that want nothing to fundamentally change.
That’s no coincidence.

Nearly a year ago, when Sirota was hired, The Atlantic published this exact kind of hit piece. The media establishment has run out of ideas. They're now going through their garbage to see what they can publish all over again.

I'm a Professor of Economics and Environmental Studies and proud signer and supporter of @BernieSanders' Green New Deal plan. We simply cannot wait. The climate crisis is here, and Bernie has shown that he understands the issues and will do what it takes to act immediately.
This attack didn't work in 2008, and it's not going to work now https://twitter.com/OrganizingPower/status/1222289863120211970 …
“It is imperative that we address the deficit problem that this nation faces, but we can do it without cutting Social Security.” - Bernie Sanders, 1994 https://bernie.substack.com/p/bern-notice-bernies-lifelong-fight …
“Some claim that ‘entitlement reform’ is the answer to our government’s fiscal problems. They argue that we must cut back on entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid & Social Security to help balance the budget. I disagree.” - Bernie Sanders, 1993 https://bernie.substack.com/p/bern-notice-bernies-lifelong-fight …
CNN’s @KFILe is right, @BrianSlodysko is wrong https://twitter.com/brianslodysko/status/1222259282235793408 …
The whole premise of this story is that Bernie one time uttered the word “adjustments” and that somehow negates his 30-year career of consistent votes, legislation & leadership blocking Social Security cuts and fighting to expand benefits. Just ridiculous. https://bernie.substack.com/p/bern-notice-bernies-lifelong-fight …
The problem with this story: it somehow omits Bernie consistently leading the fight against Social Security cuts and consistently authoring/co-sponsoring bills to increase Social Security benefits. I mean, how does this just go unmentioned?

A Washington magazine just published Iraq War architect @DavidFrum’s article predicting “cluster bombs and napalm” against Bernie Sanders supporters, and promising that we will be “shredded and torched.”
That’s not OK. At all.

Deeply disturbing to see both @TheAtlantic and the conservative writer @davidfrum use violent language describing both @BernieSanders and all of the people on our campaign.

There's something discordant about the establishment alleging that Bernie is toxic...while the same establishment uses violent martial language to openly threaten Bernie's campaign and its supporters.
In the face of polls showing @BernieSanders surging, the establishment is trying to lodge a formal complaint with democracy’s manager, and it’s not working.
