Washington, DC – Addressing today’s Senate vote on two anti-choice bills, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand released the following statement:
“The anti-choice policies put forward
by Senator McConnell are designed to punish women, interfere in family
decisions, and spread dangerous disinformation about abortion. The
decisions that women make about their pregnancies and reproductive
health should be between themselves, their families, and their
doctors—not politicians like McConnell. It’s disgraceful that McConnell
has AGAIN wasted time voting on these dangerous, unconstitutional
abortion bans, instead of the hundreds of bills sitting on his desk that
would actually protect women’s health care and support American
families.”
